   SPIRAUX A FLEXIBILITE VARIABLE

   SPIRALS WITH VARIABLE FLEXIBILITY
The object of the present invention is to give the balance springs used in watchmaking or in other fields the concentric (or eccentric in a fixed direction) development of the various turns which constitute them.

This result is obtained by making the flexibility of one or more parts of the blade of a balance spring variable with respect to the rest of this blade.

This invention makes it possible, for example, to improve the chronological defects of the circular regulating organs used in watchmaking.
Demonstrative but non-limiting examples:
Variable section of the blade over one or more parts of its length
Modifications of the profile of the blade over one or more parts of its length, that is to say deformations of the initial section for example by creation of ribs, etcooo
Adds, to one or more parts of the blade, any body intended to modify the flexibility of this or these parts with respect to the rest of the blade.

By add I mean galvanic or other deposits, fixed adaptations on the blade or able to move on it body by means such as riveting, welding, pinching, staples, friction, winding, coating, gluing etc ...

Spiral blade made of two or more parts joined by any body whose elasticity is different from that of the blade.
Changes in the orientation of the section of one or more

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

parts of the blade compared to the rest of it.

NoRojointe to be valid as of April 28, 1954.

In summary, the present invention claims any modifications to the blade of a hairspring, aimed at varying the elasticity of one or more parts of the blade relative to the rest of it.

This variable flexibility thus given to the blade of a hairspring allows all the turns to develop in a concentric way, for example, while leaving the different turns in the same plane. "
