La présente invention est relative à un support pour cadres de photographies, d'images et analogues, notamment pour ceux en forme de rectangle, comprenant un pied amovible rendu solidaire d'un organe fixé au dos du cadre, ce pied pouvant être lui-même fixé dans deux positions perpendiculaires entre elles telles, que le cadre, suivant la position du pied, puisse être posé sur l'un ou l'autre de ses cotes adjacents.
Dans beaucoup de cas, les cadres sont destinés non seule- ment à être suspendus au mur, mais ils doivent être. pourvus de moyens permettant la pose sur des meubles, sur les étalages des commerçants,etc.
Jusqu'à présent, on a muni ces cadres de pieds en carton ou en triplex.
Ceux-ci devaient servir dans deux sens, c'est-à-dire celui @

de la hauteur et celui de la largeur.
Les pieds -sont surtout attachesde telle sorte que seul un sens est considoré comme sens principal de pose. Lorsqu'on était amené à faire usage du second sens, il se produisait des efforts trop grands sur la charnière de ces pieds, ce qui très rapidement les rendait hors d'usage.
De plus, pour pouvoir être mis à un écartement convenable, le pied était muni d'une attache flexible, telle par exemple un ruban, voire du papier. C'est surtout par là que commençait la dislocation du cadre une fois l'attache déchirée.
La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces incon- vénients.
A cet effet, le pied susditcomprend une partie sensible- ment plane, parallèle au dos du cadre et présentant au moins une boutonnière traversée par une tige filetée se dressant au centre du dos du cadre, cette tige étant fixée par un de ses bouts à l' organe susditet tant pourvue à son autre bout, émergeant de la boutonnière, d'un écrou, tandis que la partie plane du pied est maintenue contre l'organe susdit par au moins un ergot de retenue, de préférence solidaire dudit organe et se trouvant près du bord du cadre.
Dans une forme de réalisation particulière de l'objet de l'invention, ladite partie plane du pied présente deux bouton- nières disposées dans le prolongement l'une de l'autre à une distance telle que lorsque le pied susdit est mis en place dans l'une ou l'autre de ses positions, ladite tige traverse une de ces boutonnières.
Dans une autre forme de réalisation, chaque boutonnière susdite communique par un passage, plus large que le diamètre de la tige susdite, avec un des bords libres de la partie plane.
La présente invention est également relative au cadre muni du support selon l'invention.

Le cadre 1 est muni au dos de ses bords intérieurs 8,de deux tringles dont la première, la tringle 3, est fixée par ses deux extrémités à deux des bords 2 intérieurs opposas, du cadre 1 en y pratiquant un orifice 4 d'introduction d'une vis 5. Cet orifice peut être également une simple échancrure du bord de la tringle ou même un trou auquel est jointe une coulisse (Fig.6).
La photographie, ou l'image à encadrer est placée entre deux feuilles de verre 6 et 7, cette dernière 7 est placée de telle sorte que sa surface autre que celle qui est en contact avec 1' image, vient, au maximum au nu des bords 2, et que d'autre part, l'épaisseur de la tringle 3 elle-même est au-dessus de ce nu.
Par conséquent, lorsque la tringle 3 est mise en place, si la feuille de verre 7 est trop enfoncée dans l'encadrement, la tringle 3 pourrait ne pas la toucher. Pour y remédier, la trin- gle 3 est pourvue de deux plis ou bossages 8, de préférence dis- posés symétriquement par rapport au milieu de ladite tringle, Ces plis sont disposés de telle sorte que l'arête 9 des plis

soit en contact avec la surface de la feuille de verre 7.
Une autre tringle 10 est fixée d'une part au milieu de la tringle 3 et, d'autre part à un des bords du cadre, mais autres que ceux servant à maintenir la tringle 3 en place.
La fixation au bord du cadre de la tringle 10 se fait d' une façon identique à celle de la tringle 3. La fixation de la tringle 10 à la tringle 3 se fait par un boulon 11 perçant les deux tringles à l'endroit de superposition, muni de son écrou 12. Le serrage de la feuille de verre 7 se fait donc par les trois points correspondant aux points de contact des arêtes des plis 8 dont les tringles 3 et 10 sont pourvues.
On dispose à un desbords 2 du cadre un moyen de suspension du cadre 1, et on pourra ainsi le fixer à un mur. On fera usage, par exemple d'un oeillet 20.
Si l'on veut disposer le cadre sur un meuble, on devra mu- nir la partie postérieure du cadre, d'un pied 13.
Ce dernier est réalisé par une tringle pliée suivant un angle voisin de 90 , dont l'extrémité d'un des côtés est munie d'une coulisse 14, laquelle servira à l'introduction du boulon 11.
L'inclinaison du cadre sera modifiée par la fixation du pied 13, grâce à la coulisse 14.
Pour pouvoir fixer ce pied 13 dans une position invariable, outre la coulisse 14 et du côté de celle-ci, un orifice 15 est ménagé dans ce pied. L'autre coté 17 du pied 13 aura également des plis 18 pour lui donner plus d'élasticité à l'appui. Cet orifice 15 servira à l'introduction d'une languette ou ergot 16 dont est munie uneau moins des trirgles 3 et 10.
Cette languette 16 sera obtenue de préférence en découpant ses bords dans la masse de la tringle 3 et 10 et en la repliant extérieurement par rapport à la surface de la tringle.
Il doit être entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée à la forme d'exécution décrite ci-avant et que bien des modifi- cations peuvent y être apportées, notamment quant à la forme, à

la constitution, au nombre''et à la disposition des éléments intervenant dans sa réalisation sans sortir du cadre de la présente demande de brevet, à condition que ces changements soient compatibles avec l'esprit des revendications énoncées ci-après.
On pourrait notamment réaliser le pied du cadre par une tringle pliée sur elle-même et dont les extrémités seront re- pliées dans un plan différent de celui formé par les nus du repli des tringles (fig.7).
La fixation à la tringle 3 se fera grâce au boulon 11 et à son écrou 12. La tringle pliée sera d'autre part maintenue au bord du cadre par un cavalier 19.
D'autre part, on pourrait disposer au lieu de la plaque de verre 7, une feuille de carton, de bois, de métal ou de matière plastique.
En outre, le pied peut présenter plusieurs coulisses 21, au lieu d'une seule coulisse 14, Dans ce cas, celles-ci seront munies d'une échancrure latérale 22 de manière que l'on puisse introduire le boulon 11, dans la coulisse 21, sans devoir pour cela enlever l'écrou 12.

The present invention relates to a support for frames of photographs, images and the like, in particular for those in the shape of a rectangle, comprising a removable foot made integral with a member fixed to the back of the frame, this foot itself possibly being fixed in two positions perpendicular to each other such that the frame, depending on the position of the foot, can be placed on one or other of its adjacent sides.
In many cases, frames are not only meant to hang on the wall, but they have to be. provided with means allowing installation on furniture, on shopkeepers' shelves, etc.
Until now, these frames have been fitted with cardboard or triplex feet.
These had to serve in two ways, that is to say the one @

height and width.
The feet are mostly attached in such a way that only one direction is considered as the main direction of installation. When it was necessary to make use of the second sense, too great forces were produced on the hinge of these feet, which very quickly rendered them unusable.
In addition, in order to be able to be set at a suitable spacing, the foot was provided with a flexible attachment, such as for example a tape, or even paper. This is especially where the dislocation of the frame began once the clip was torn.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks.
To this end, the aforesaid foot comprises a substantially flat part, parallel to the back of the frame and having at least one buttonhole traversed by a threaded rod rising up in the center of the back of the frame, this rod being fixed by one of its ends to the 'aforesaid organ provided at its other end, emerging from the buttonhole, with a nut, while the flat part of the foot is held against the aforesaid organ by at least one retaining pin, preferably integral with said organ and located near the edge of the frame.
In a particular embodiment of the subject of the invention, said flat part of the foot has two buttonholes arranged in the extension of one another at a distance such as when the aforesaid foot is placed in one or the other of its positions, said rod passes through one of these buttonholes.
In another embodiment, each aforementioned buttonhole communicates by a passage, larger than the diameter of the aforesaid rod, with one of the free edges of the flat part.
The present invention also relates to the frame provided with the support according to the invention.

The attachment to the edge of the frame of the rod 10 is done in the same way as for the rod 3.
