"Lock nut device".
The invention relates to a nut device that cannot be released under the effect of vibrations, this nut being able, of course, to be loosened by means of a tool such as a wrench, pliers or the like,
The device of the invention consists essentially in the replacement of the. undeformable mass which generally constitutes the nut, by an elastic steel wire, for example with a square or rectangular section, wound in a helix with contiguous turns, taps on the inside and machined on the outside according to one of the usual shapes (round, square or with sides).
The mode of action of the nut which results in its indestructibility will be indicated in the description below, which gives,

by way of example only, embodiments. of the invention, with reference to the accompanying drawings, the particularities arising both from the drawings and from the description of course forming part of the invention,
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 represent respectively, in view below - elevation and view from above, a nut consisting of a wire wound from right to left and threaded in the opposite direction.
This provision is essential.
In the figures, the nut is designated by 1, by 2 the turns, and by 3 the tapping. In Figures 1 and 2 the beginning and the end of the tapping coincide with the beginning and the end of the winding. The beginning and the end of the winding are then deformed so that the dimensions a become smaller than the corresponding radii of the tapping. This deformation on both sides enables the nut to be fixed on either side. To loosening the nut will first oppose a resistance due to the deformation of the spouts of the winding and then a resistance due to the direction of the winding, the latter tending to tighten on the core of the release screw.
For aesthetic reasons, we can make sure that the birth 4 of the winding is in the middle of a side; in the same way for the end 5 of the winding, it is also possible to make two grooves 6 and 7 in order to free the jaws 4 and 5.
FIGS. 4 and 5 represent an indivisible nut constituted by a winding 8 and rubbed on the outside by a ring 9 lugged at 10. This ring has the desired, round, square or other on the outside.
Of course, without departing from the limits of the invention, it is possible to make to it all the modifications8 which do not alter the spirit thereof and to use any suitable materials in its production.

EMI3.1
Zécrou can for example be produced by sawing with spring and undergo a heat treatment; it can also be made of brass or, for lfavi2.t ion, 199'ers metals such as talurainiulu, duralumin, electron and others.
EMI3.2
The devices of the invention are applicable to all cLTécrousr systems; wing nuts, flange nuts, flange nuts, cap nuts, wheel nuts, bearing nuts and more.
