<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

By the succession of these different phases, it is possible to obtain a rapid, complete and hygienic incineration, in particular if provision is made to judiciously arrange the equipment of the installation, which can moreover be presented under essentially variable layouts, shapes and sizes.
The invention therefore refers to any installation capable of forming an application of the method, the different phases of which are explained above.
However, the inventor recommends a particularly effective execution, which is illustrated schematically in the appended drawings and described below by way of example and with the aim of bringing out the subject of the invention more clearly.
According to this drawing therefore, and in accordance with the invention, the installation comprises first of all a hopper 1 receiving the detritus, for example by means of an overhead crane with good grippers of special shape, duly appropriate, the assignment of the installation.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
It is advisable to tow immediately, as soon as the refuse is stored in this hopper, the personnel in charge of the installation services,
EMI4.1
should not touch them any more, except obviously in the case of market accidents of any appeasement. It follows from this eonstatatica that the conditions of sanitation can be easily fulfilled.
FROM this trenia 1, the rubbish is brought into

an incinerated oven, roof operating at high temperature. This oven is of special design and has several particularly interesting parts.
For example, 7. ' entrance to the oven is constituted by a drying area 2 of the detritus; cotte aire immediately follows the aforementioned hopper and receives

<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
Wanson, Martin, Vésuvio etc.
It should be noted that, thanks to the drying area, the grid only treats dry rubbish, which is therefore easy to burn.
In addition, the oven has, judiciously placed, two reverberation vaults made of refractory material. One of these vaults 5 is placed above the drying area, while the second 6 is placed above the mechanical rack 4. Between these two vaults is the orifice for the evacuation of t 'ornate.
The arrangement of the first vault 5 is such that it receives the radiation from the oven and that it reflects on the materials staying on the drying area 2.
The arrangement of the second vault 6 is provided in such a way that the combustion of the dry detritus on the mechanical grate 4 takes place at very high temperature, which rationally results from the concentration of heat.
In addition, the space 8 which separates the two arches 5 and 6 is relatively small, from which it follows that the fumes and / or gases circulate therein at high speed.
In this way an energetic stirring takes place and this space thus acts as a burner.
In this part of the oven, it should be noted that the space 8 receives the humidity upstream from the drying zone and downstream the gases resulting from the combustion of the dry debris on the mechanical grate 4.

are evacuated by a hopper 9 located beyond the mechanical grid 4. This hopper is preferably of large capacity, so. can possibly serve as a bottom ash and ash store and is internally lined with refractory material.
In addition, this hopper is inferiorly extended by a crusher 11, so that these materials are reduced to. a caliber that is easy to use and transport.
Moreover, it should be noted that the evacuation of these crushed products is effected by the intervention of an airlock in order to reduce the entry of external air during this operation.
The installation also includes a boiler 12 and a superheater 13, the heating elements of which are arranged vertically. These devices are of a well-known type, such as, for example, the Kestner, Verken and others devices. Given the high proportion of dust, it is important that the heating elements be vertical, so as to avoid reducing their useful effect. The fumes @ circulate from top to bottom or from bottom to top according to the # local provisions to be observed.
Still other accessories complete the installation, including in particular a heater 14 for the boiler feed water, a device well known under the name of an economiser: a flue gas dust collector 15 made up of horizontal tubes. cast iron on which the water trickles.
The installation is also characterized by an original arrangement 16 of the bottom of the flues comprising a dividing wall, an air barrier etc.

On the other hand, this introduction into the front, would allow the back-up to be made uniform over the entire width of the grille. As an ancillary consequence, but also interesting, it should be noted that such an arrangement would make it possible to tackle the mass in combustion on the grate through the front orifices, which is particularly advantageous.
