   La présente description se rapporte à des perfectionnements au système de grue à flèche relevable, décrit dans notre brevet original demandé le 12 mai   1927.   



   Dans cette première disposition, le mécanisme imaginé pour effectuer le déplacement horizontal de la charge lors du relève- ment de la flèche, comportait comme éléments principaux, une commande par galets et surface directrice du levier ou balancier portant la poulie de renvoi et permettant de régler la longueur du câble. 



   Dans le perfectionnement actuel, le balancier ou bielle triangulaire A (voir figure), portant la poulie de renvoi C, est pourvu à son angle inférieur D d'une articulation pour l'attaque d'une bielle de connexion E, qui le relie à la flèche mobile de la grue. 



   Le choix des points d'attache a et b, où la bielle de con- nexion se relie à la flèche, dépend de la position assignée à la poulie de renvoi C pour satisfaire à la condition du transport horizontal de la charge. 



   La liaison positive entre la flèche et le balancier triangu- laire permet de réaliser la condition imposée et assure le fonc- tionnement du système de commande.

   La longueur de la bielle de connexion E peut être réglée au moyen de dispositifs connus, pour que les déplacements de la   pou-   lie de tête correspondent à ceux de la poulie de renvoi et que le crochet puisse se mouvoir suivant une trajectoire horizontale.

   This description relates to improvements to the luffing jib crane system, described in our original patent filed May 12, 1927.



   In this first arrangement, the mechanism devised to effect the horizontal displacement of the load when the jib is raised, included as main elements, a control by rollers and guiding surface of the lever or balance carrying the return pulley and making it possible to adjust the length of the cable.



   In the current development, the balance or triangular connecting rod A (see figure), carrying the deflection pulley C, is provided at its lower angle D with an articulation for the attack of a connecting rod E, which connects it to the mobile boom of the crane.



   The choice of attachment points a and b, where the connecting rod connects to the boom, depends on the position assigned to the deflection pulley C to satisfy the condition of horizontal transport of the load.



   The positive connection between the boom and the triangular balance makes it possible to fulfill the imposed condition and ensures the operation of the control system.

   The length of the connecting rod E can be adjusted by means of known devices, so that the movements of the head pulley correspond to those of the deflection pulley and that the hook can move in a horizontal path.
