Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Use of lean gas engine exhaust to improve manufacturing. lime or cement products (agglomerates, tiles, etc.).
The use of carbon dioxide in the manufacture of agglomerated lime or cement products is known.
This gas has the effect of combining with natural lime or the free lime of the cement to form a very hard carbonate of lime.
The present invention relates to the use of a carbon dioxide aourc3 which has remained unexploited to date: it is the exhaust gases originating from lean gas damps.
These gases are captured at the outlet of the exhaust, purified, then brought to chambers. sealed, where 1! the products to be treated have been deposited beforehand. Inaction of the gas on the products must be brought about at the appropriate time, as has been done in the processes, already known.
It goes without. say that the exhaust gases of all other engines could also be; used, provided they contain usable carbon dioxide.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The intended use of the present invention has a great advantage: in many factories of agglomerated cement or cement products, lean gas engines are used as the driving force. All that is needed is an appropriate arrangement of the premises to obtain products in which all the lime is used; these products become much harder and the final crystallization takes place much faster than in current manufacturing methods where carbon dioxide is not involved.
