MEMOIRE DESCRIPTIF DEPOSE A L'APPUI D'UNE DEMANDE DE
BREVET D'INVENTION FORMEE PAR MR.ANDRE STENUICK ,RUE DE
MARCHIENNE A FONTAINE-l'EVEQUE POUR UN MOTEUR SANS SOUPAPES.
- :-:-:-:-:-:-

DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY SUBMITTED IN SUPPORT OF A REQUEST FOR
PATENT OF INVENTION FORMED BY MR.ANDRE STENUICK, RUE DE
MARCHIENNE AT FONTAINE-l'EVEQUE FOR AN ENGINE WITHOUT VALVES.
-: -: -: -: -: -: -
The present invention relates to four-stroke internal combustion engines & relates to a gas distribution & exhaust system without the camshaft mechanism.
In the accompanying drawing: Fig.l.-is a sectional elevation of the cylinder head following a.b. of fig. 3.
Fig.2. Is a cross section of the cylinder head according to e.d of 1 @ fig.3.
Fig. 3. is a plan view of the cylinder head showing the drive arrangement of the distribution tubes.
Fig. 4. is a view of one of the distribution tubes showing the location of the different openings.
Fig. 1 .-- In the slightly oonic distribution tube 1 over the entire length, the openings necessary for the inlet of the gases coming from the carburettor or the outlet of the burnt gases are made on the side of the largest diameter. other end of the tubes is completely closed & terminated by a shaft end on which is fixed the drive wheel 3 of each tube. One of these being controlled by a toothed wheel 4, actuated by a silent chain 5: these tubes are housed in chambers arranged in the cylinder head 2 & are cooled by a water flow.
For the development of the distribution tubes, an adjustment system by stops 6 & 7 fixed on each end of the shafts by means 8 is adjustable by the means of the nut 9 inserted between the stops 6 & 7.
The forced adjustment of the tubes is made by openings 10 The oil is drawn along them by helical grooves formed between the gas passage openings. The tubes driven by wheels 5 rotate in the cylinder head & the openings thereof. here when arriving in front of the

grooves 11 allow the passage of gases & bring direct contact with the explosion chamber.
Fig.2.- To reduce the size of the cylinder head, the spark plugs 12 will be placed on the engine block.
The grooves 11 will be long to narrow in order to have the rapid opening & closing allowing easier passage of the gases during each operation & reducing the friction thereof to the greatest extent.
Fig. 3.- The stopper connected to the cylinder head by the flange 15 and the exhaust pipe by the flange 14 give a reduced space & easily accessible freeing the wiring of the magneto & the lighting dynamo.
