Abstract
A filter system is proposed for filtering polluted water in development areas and flood areas, where a 25 or 30 liter jerry can is handy, on which filter systems or means are then placed. A special screw-on sealing cap containing a ceramic membrane filter system is described. The contaminated water then passes through at least one passage channel to the outside after the water has been filtered through the filter, so that purified water is obtained from the jerry can or sub-shaped container. A filter system is also described in which pre-filters and ceramic membrane filters are placed in intermediate pieces and can be replaced therefrom.
Description
Beschrijving: Watercontainer met filtersysteemDescription: Water container with filter system
A filter system is proposed for filtering polluted water in development areas and flood areas. Special ceramic membrane filters have been on the market for years that purify tap water. These membrane filters are, for example, produced by Korea Ceramics Co., Ltd. and they can range from 0.001 Micron to 100 Micron in fineness. It is possible to integrate these filters into bottle stoppers, for example for sports people. One South Korean company Keosan does this in bottles of about half a liter. This can be too small for our purpose.
Because in critical situations - such as earthquakes and floods - pure water is very necessary for the population, but the available water is often contaminated and full of bacteria, easy handy filter systems are required. A 25 or 30 liter jerry can can be useful, or other types of containers such as barrels. Filter systems or media can then be placed on top of this. With jerry cans - which usually have traditional screw-on caps according to DIN50 or DIN60 - the filter system must therefore have a screw thread of DIN50 or DIN60. Then they look after each other.
We therefore claim a Jerry can (10, Fig. 2) or other shaped water container that is equipped with a special screw-on sealing cap (11, Fig. 1), said sealing cap having a compartment (16) in which a ceramic membrane filter system (12) is located. so that the contaminated water (18, 21) - contained in said jerry can or container - can only come out via at least one feed channel (14) after the water has been filtered through the filter, so that water purified from the jerry can or other shaped container (43) is obtained.
DIN50 of DIN60, b. So an integrated filter system is incorporated in the screw-on sealing cap (Fig. 1). The screwable sealing cap at least consists of: a. A part with screw structure (13) that is compatible with the screw structure (20) of the jerry can or the aforementioned container, so eg DIN50 or DIN60, b. A part consisting of a cylindrical membrane filter sleeve (12, 16) made of ceramic material; (e.g., 035 micro holes). This sleeve can be multi-layered internally, and can, for example, internally contain a series of minerals in order to, for example, optimize the pH.
c. A collection cavity or passage channel (14) in which purified water or liquid is collected for discharge to at least one outlet (17) in the sleeve, d. A . exhaust system that is incorporated in the part with the screw structure, wherein the exhaust system can be of various known systems such as a slidable plug (15), a taps, etc. Such a system is present, for example, with different plastic bottles of drinking water and cola . The tip is then pushed up and then one can drink.
The jerry can or other shaped water container can be equipped with at least one mounting structure (40), for example for hanging with a rope or hook. After filling the jerry can with eg river water, the jerry can is closed with the filter cap, and at home the jerry can is hung upside down (see fig. 4). In that case the jerry can or other shaped water container is optionally, but desirable, equipped with at least one air inlet system or valve (41), for example for allowing normal air pressure on the water or connecting an air pump. As a result, there is no underpressure in the jerry can and the purified water will drain out more easily. Via such a special opening (41) it is also possible to pressurize the water or other liquid via a hand pump or a mechanical or electric pump in order to accelerate and increase the filtering process and the flow.
To prevent impurities in the water from blocking the membrane filter, it is highly desirable to place a coarser filter around the ceramic membrane filter system (12). At least one prefilter made of a microfilter material can be placed around it. Such microfilters - usually made from a perforated synthetic material foil - are commercially available, and are used, among other things, in special percolation coffee filters, to replace paper coffee filters. This material can then be placed in the jerry can as cloth or sleeve (31) before placing the ceramic membrane filter. For example, the coarse elements (such as sand, fibers, fats, etc.) are kept out of the contaminated water before the water reaches the aforementioned ceramic membrane filter sleeve.
Also useful for use in disaster areas is an alternative system for purifying contaminated water via a special connector between various pipes. These pipes are, for example, thick discharge pipes made of PE or other material. We therefore claim a filter system (Fig. 5) which consists of an insert / connection piece (50) in which at least one ceramic membrane filter (52) is placed, and wherein said insert / connection piece is placed between two tube elements (55, 56). These tubes are placed at an angle, and then the first tube is filled with contaminated water. The water runs through gravity to the lowest point (lowest tube), passing through at least one membrane filter or prefilter (microfilter).
The aforementioned spacer / connection piece (50) can be connected to the tubes in various known ways. Eg either inside the tube (53) or on the outside (54) of the tube, or a combination (dual system) thereof.
The filter system can be saturated to a specific time, and must then be able to be replaced with a new prefilter or ceramic membrane filter. The ceramic membrane filter (52) will very desirably be located in a slidable frame in the insert / connection piece (50) so that the filter can always be reached via a lockable opening (51) in order to check it and possibly replace it. In the spacer / connection piece (50), a prefilter can also be placed / pushed. This microfilter will have to be cleaned several times.
Tot slot claimen wij dat de schroefbare afsluitdop (Fig. 1), met geïntegreerde filtersysteem is uitgevoerd met een schroefwerk dat overeenkomstig DIN50, DIN60, of andere DIN-nummer is.Finally, we claim that the screw-on sealing cap (Fig. 1), with integrated filter system, is equipped with a screw that is in accordance with DIN50, DIN60, or other DIN number.
