DISPOSITIF SANITAIRE
La présente invention concerne un dispositif sanitaire pour chien, lequel dispositif comprend un conteneur pourvu d'un accès permettant au chien d'y accéder.
Un tel dispositif sanitaire est connu de la demande brevet français n[deg.] 2758047. Suivant le dispositif connu, le conteneur est formé par un box approprié auquel le chien doit accéder pour faire ses besoins. Les matières fécales déposées par le chien sont évacuées vers un égout se trouvant dans la partie inférieure du conteneur.
Un désavantage du dispositif sanitaire connu est qu'il est mal admis par le chien. Ce n'est que sous la contrainte que le chien en fera usage. En effet, une telle construction fait peur au chien et risque même de le rendre agressif. De plus, de par sa construction assez volumineuse, ce dispositif n'est pas approprié pour un usage à l'intérieur d'un immeuble.
Or c'est justement un dispositif sanitaire pour chien qui puisse être utilisé à l'intérieur d'un immeuble que le maître du chien désire. Certaines circonstances comme les temps de pluie, l'heure tardive ou les contraintes imposées par le règlement interne d'un immeuble à appartements, font que le maître n'est pas toujours en mesure de promener son chien permettant à ce dernier de faire ses besoins. Pour ces raisons le maître voudrait disposer d'un dispositif sanitaire qu'il puisse mettre à l'intérieur de l'immeuble sans pour autant devoir contraindre son chien par la force d'en faire usage.
L'invention a pour but de réaliser un dispositif sanitaire pour chien qui puisse convenir à cette demande de son maître.
A cette fin un dispositif sanitaire pour chien suivant l'invention est caractérisé en ce que le conteneur est destiné à l'usage à l'intérieur d'un immeuble et possède un fond sensiblement plat destiné à être disposé sur un sol dudit immeuble, ledit conteneur possède une forme sensiblement rectangulaire et une hauteur de maximum 25 cm, ledit accès étant formé par un découpage s'étendant à partir d'un bord supérieur d'une paroi du conteneur en direction dudit fond, ledit conteneur étant ouvert sur sensiblement l'ensemble de sa face supérieure et pourvu d'une litière en matière végétale et formée de granules ou de copeaux.
Le fond sensiblement plat et la hauteur limitée du conteneur en font non seulement un dispositif qui puisse parfaitement être déposé sur le sol à l'intérieur d'un immeuble, mais également un dispositif qui ne va pas faire peur au chien. Ce dernier ne va en effet pas se voir confronté à une grande construction qui l'effraye. De plus, la présence d'une litière en matière végétale va donner au chien une impression naturelle qui va le mettre en confiance. Enfin, le découpage formant l'entrée va faciliter son accès au dispositif car il ne va pas le considérer comme un obstacle.
Une première forme de réalisation préférentielle d'un dispositif sanitaire suivant l'invention est caractérisée en ce qu'il comporte une pelle agencée pour charger une quantité de ladite litière.
La pelle permet de facilement remplir et vider le dispositif avec sa litière.
Une deuxième forme de réalisation préférentielle d'un dispositif sanitaire suivant l'invention est caractérisée en ce que ledit découpage formant ledit accès possède une forme arrondie. La forme arrondie évite l'usage d'une arête vive qui pourrait blesser tant le chien que l'homme.
L'invention sera maintenant décrite plus en détail à l'aide des dessins qui illustrent un exemple de réalisation d'un dispositif sanitaire pour chien suivant l'invention.
Dans les dessins : la figure 1 illustre un exemple d'un dispositif suivant l'invention; et la figure 2 illustre le dispositif sans la litière mais avec la pelle. Dans les dessins une même référence a été attribuée à un même élément ou à un élément analogue.
Le dispositif sanitaire pour chien illustré à la figure 1 comporte un conteneur 1 de forme sensiblement rectangulaire et comportant des parois latérales 4 et 6 et des parois transversales 3 et 5. Une des parois transversales est pourvue d'un découpage 8 qui s'étend à partir du bord supérieur du conteneur en direction du fond 2. Comme illustré à la figure 2, le fond du conteneur est sensiblement plat de telle façon à pouvoir disposer facilement le conteneur sur le sol.
De préférence, les bords du découpage 8 possèdent des bords arrondis 9 et 10 qui forment une ligne fluide de transition entre le bord supérieur du conteneur et le découpage. Ainsi on évite des arêtes vives qui pourraient blesser tant le chien que son maître.
La hauteur du conteneur est limitée à maximum 25 cm afin d'éviter des constructions élevées qui feraient peur au chien et le retiendraient d'y rentrer. Bien entendu des hauteurs inférieures peuvent être prévues en fonction de la taille du chien. Le cas échéant, les parois et le fond du conteneur peuvent être de construction modulaire permettant ainsi d'adapter la taille du conteneur à l'évolution du chien.
Dans ce dernier cas, une construction, par exemple par tenons et mortaises est prévue de telle façon à assurer une construction rigide et étanche.
De préférence, la partie extérieure du fond 2 du conteneur est munie de moyens antidérapants afin d'empêcher que le conteneur glisse sur le sol lorsque le chien s'y introduit. Ces moyens antidérapants peuvent par exemple être formés par un profil antidérapant appliqué dans la matière même du conteneur ou par l'application d'une matière antidérapante telle que le caoutchouc ou un plastique dur.
Le conteneur peut être fabriqué en toute matière suffisamment rigide. De préférence du bois ou de la matière plastique seront utilisés car ces matières offrent une construction facile, rigide et durable sans être coûteuses.
Le cas échéant une décoration peut être appliquée sur les parois qui donnera un aspect naturel et agréable au chien. La hauteur du conteneur doit être d'au moins 5 cm pour permettre de disposer suffisamment de litière 7 dans le fond du conteneur. La litière est en matière végétale et formée de granules ou de copeaux de telle façon à donner un environnement naturel au chien. De préférence, la litière comporte une couche de 3 cm d'épaisseur. La litière possède de préférence un pH moyen situé entre 8 et 10, une granulométrie ayant un diamètre moyen de 7 mm et un pouvoir absorbant d'au moins 50 %.
Pour permettre l'apport et l'évacuation de la litière une pelle 11 (figure 2) est prévue.
La pelle possède de préférence des bords 12, 13 et 14 inclinés vers le haut de façon à faciliter le ramassage de la litière.
Le conteneur est ouvert sur sensiblement l'ensemble de sa face supérieure. Ceci a pour avantage que le chien ne sera pas effrayé par une construction fermée et qu'il trouvera un dispositif sanitaire ouvert et accueillant. Il n'aura ainsi pas peur d'y entrer et il ne faudra pas le contraindre avec force d'y entrer. La présence du découpage 8 va de plus rendre l'accès plus accueillant car le chien ne rencontrera aucun obstacle pour accéder au dispositif sanitaire. La présence de la litière végétale formée de granules ou de copeaux va donner au chien un aspect naturel ressemblant fortement à celui qu'il connaît lorsque son maître le promène.
Le chien entrera ainsi volontiers dans le conteneur pour faire ses besoins quand il le désirera et sans devoir imposer à son maître de le promener à un moment qui ne lui convient pas. De plus, comme le conteneur peut être utilisé à l'intérieur d'un immeuble y compris sur une terrasse, son usage évitera des inconvénients pour les riverains ou autres occupants de l'immeuble. Ceci permettra donc au chien et au maître de vivre ensemble pour le bonheur de chacun et sans porter atteinte au confort du maître et à celui des riverains.
SANITARY DEVICE
The present invention relates to a sanitary device for dogs, which device comprises a container provided with access allowing the dog to access it.
Such a sanitary device is known from French Patent Application No. 2758047. According to the known device, the container is formed by an appropriate box which the dog must access to do his needs. The faeces deposited by the dog are discharged to a sewer located in the lower part of the container.
A disadvantage of the known sanitary device is that it is badly admitted by the dog. It is only under duress that the dog will use it. Indeed, such a construction scares the dog and may even make it aggressive. In addition, because of its rather bulky construction, this device is not suitable for use inside a building.
Or it is precisely a sanitary device for dogs that can be used inside a building that the master of the dog wants. Certain circumstances such as rainy weather, late hour or the constraints imposed by the internal regulations of an apartment building, make that the master is not always able to walk his dog allowing him to do his needs . For these reasons the master would like to have a sanitary device that he can put inside the building without having to force his dog by force to use it.
The invention aims to achieve a dog sanitary device that can accommodate this request from his master.
To this end, a sanitary device for dogs according to the invention is characterized in that the container is intended for use inside a building and has a substantially flat bottom intended to be placed on a floor of said building, said container has a substantially rectangular shape and a height of up to 25 cm, said access being formed by cutting extending from an upper edge of a wall of the container towards said bottom, said container being open on substantially the all of its upper surface and provided with a litter of plant material and formed of granules or chips.
The substantially flat bottom and the limited height of the container make it not only a device that can be perfectly placed on the ground inside a building, but also a device that will not scare the dog. The latter will indeed not be confronted with a great construction that scares him. In addition, the presence of a litter of plant material will give the dog a natural impression that will put him in confidence. Finally, the cutting forming the entrance will facilitate its access to the device because it will not consider it an obstacle.
A first preferred embodiment of a sanitary device according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a shovel arranged to load a quantity of said litter.
The shovel makes it easy to fill and empty the device with its litter.
A second preferred embodiment of a sanitary device according to the invention is characterized in that said cutting forming said access has a rounded shape. The rounded shape avoids the use of a sharp edge that could hurt both the dog and the man.
The invention will now be described in more detail with the aid of the drawings which illustrate an exemplary embodiment of a sanitary device for dogs according to the invention.
In the drawings: FIG. 1 illustrates an example of a device according to the invention; and Figure 2 illustrates the device without the litter but with the shovel. In the drawings the same reference has been assigned to the same element or a similar element.
The dog sanitary device illustrated in Figure 1 comprises a container 1 of substantially rectangular shape and having side walls 4 and 6 and transverse walls 3 and 5. One of the transverse walls is provided with a cutout 8 which extends to from the upper edge of the container towards the bottom 2. As shown in Figure 2, the bottom of the container is substantially flat so as to easily dispose the container on the ground.
Preferably, the edges of the cutout 8 have rounded edges 9 and 10 which form a fluid transition line between the upper edge of the container and the cut. This avoids sharp edges that could hurt both the dog and his master.
The height of the container is limited to a maximum of 25 cm in order to avoid high constructions that would scare the dog and keep him from returning. Of course lower heights can be provided depending on the size of the dog. Where appropriate, the walls and the bottom of the container may be of modular construction thus making it possible to adapt the size of the container to the evolution of the dog.
In the latter case, a construction, for example by tenons and mortises is provided in such a way as to ensure a rigid and sealed construction.
Preferably, the outer portion of the bottom 2 of the container is provided with anti-slip means to prevent the container slips on the ground when the dog is introduced. These anti-slip means may for example be formed by an anti-slip profile applied in the material itself of the container or by the application of a non-slip material such as rubber or a hard plastic.
The container can be made of any sufficiently rigid material. Preferably wood or plastic will be used because these materials offer easy construction, rigid and durable without being expensive.
If necessary a decoration can be applied on the walls that will give a natural and pleasant to the dog. The height of the container must be at least 5 cm to allow enough litter 7 to be placed in the bottom of the container. The litter is of plant material and formed of granules or chips so as to give a natural environment to the dog. Preferably, the litter comprises a layer 3 cm thick. The litter preferably has a mean pH of between 8 and 10, a particle size having an average diameter of 7 mm and an absorbency of at least 50%.
To allow the supply and evacuation of the litter a shovel 11 (Figure 2) is provided.
The shovel preferably has edges 12, 13 and 14 inclined upwardly to facilitate the collection of the litter.
The container is open on substantially all of its upper face. This has the advantage that the dog will not be frightened by a closed construction and will find a sanitary device open and welcoming. He will not be afraid to enter, and he will not be forced to enter it. The presence of cutting 8 will also make access more welcoming because the dog will encounter no obstacle to access the sanitary device. The presence of plant litter formed of granules or chips will give the dog a natural appearance much like the one he knows when his master walks him.
The dog will willingly enter the container to do his needs when he wants and without having to force his master to walk at a time that does not suit him. In addition, as the container can be used inside a building including a terrace, its use will avoid inconvenience to residents or other occupants of the building. This will allow the dog and the master to live together for the happiness of everyone and without compromising the comfort of the master and the residents.
