Siège-couchette.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Sleeper seat.
The invention relates to a sleeper seat, consisting of a body optionally provided with side walls serving as armrests, a seat part, a back part and a footrest which can be deployed by pivoting, the seat part being able to be moved in the direction of the rear of the cabinet, from a basic position descending slightly backwards in the direction of the backrest, into a rest position or in a lying position, the backrest can be tilted from a raised base position to a resting position or in a less raised sleeping position, and the footrest can be pivoted from a base position folded inwards to a resting position or in a lying position, in particular by means of a motorized drive.
In the state of the art, such sleeping seats are known. It is frequently necessary to have several mobile motorized members there and to couple them to the corresponding fitting parts to perform the various functions. This means a high expense, a particularly powerful motor being more particularly necessary to activate the backrest part.
Based on this state of the art, the object of the invention is to create a sleeper seat of the type indicated at the start, which can be moved with a reduced implementation.
To achieve this object, the invention proposes that the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
seat part, the back part and the footrest are coupled to the body and to each other so that when one of these parts moves, preferably the seat part, preferably by means of the drive, from the basic position to the rest position and beyond into the sleeping position or back into the basic position, the other two parts are positively driven in the analogous position (basic position, sleeping or resting position).
Thanks to this configuration, it is obtained that, by simple sliding or tilting of an element, positive displacement or positive sliding of the other elements is carried out, so that it is possible to provide this couch seat with a single drive.
Preferably, it is then expected that the drive directly produces the sliding or pivoting of the seat, while the backrest is pivoted jointly in the desired positions by the positive sliding and pivoting of the seat part, and that the footrest is also deployed or folded down by pivoting in the different positions only by sliding the seat part and pivoting the seat part.
In particular, when the drive is coupled for the actuation of the seat part, it is possible to have a relatively small drive but having a large displacement travel, which is particularly economical and also very effective.
Preferably, it is then provided that the seat part is fixed to the body by articulated bars, near its front end and its rear end, so that it can slide and pivot, and that the part of the backrest is fixed to the body by means of articulated bars and in such a way that it can pivot at the rear end of the seat part, and the footrest is fixed to the body and / or to the front end of the seat part through
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of articulated bars, and that the drive, the movable member of which, in particular a slide or a spindle, acts on an articulated bar connected to the seat part for the purpose of movement, is fixed to the body.
Furthermore, provision is preferably made for the fixing of the rear articulated bar of the seat part and of an articulated bar of the back part is provided at the same fixed articulation point on the body, or that the articulated bar of the seat part is extended beyond the point of articulation provided on the body, and that the articulated bar of the back part is articulated to the extension, and in particular to the free end of the extension.
Provided that the articulation of the articulated bar of the backrest part takes place in the region of the extension, a greater inclination of the backrest is obtained, the displacement geometry of the seat part being for the rest identical.
Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the rear end of the seat part is connected by means of an articulated lever to a fixed point of articulation situated on the body below the rear end of the seat part, and the lower end of the back part is articulated by means of a double fitting (two levers), in the rear area of the seat part and at the fixed point of articulation provided on the body.
One can also preferably provide that at the front end of the seat part is articulated an articulated lever whose other end is articulated to the body, and which can be pivoted by means of the movable member of the movement mechanism .
Finally, provision is preferably made for the footrest to be articulated at the front end of the seat part by means of a scissor joint, a lever for controlling the scissor joint being coupled by the via another control lever to the lever
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
articulated rear articulated to the seat part, and is preferably articulated at its point of articulation provided on the seat part.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and described in more detail below. In the drawing: FIG. 1 represents a sleeper seat in side view, partially in section, in the basic position; Figure 2 shows the same in the rest position; and FIG. 3 represents the same in the lying position, the basic position being also shown in superposition in each of FIGS. 2 and 3.
The sleeper seat essentially consists of a body 1, possibly provided with side walls 2 serving as armrests, a seat part 3, a back part 4 and a footrest 5 which can be deployed by pivoting. In the basic position, the seat part 3 is inclined slightly towards the rear, descending towards the back part 4 and, as can be seen in the succession of movements from FIG. 1 to the FIG. 3, it can be moved towards the back of the cabinet when it is brought into the rest position or into the lying position, while the angle of inclination of the seat part is at the same time slightly modified, so that it is tilted more strongly towards the backrest part 4.
Likewise, the backrest part 4 which is in a basic position raised in FIG. 1, can be pivoted in a rest position less raised according to FIG. 2 or in a sleeping position even less raised, according to FIG. 3 Similarly, the footrest can be deployed by pivoting from a retracted base position according to FIG. 1 until in a rest or sleeping position according to FIGS. 2 and 3, respectively. The movement takes place in particular by means of a motorized drive 6 provided with a movable slide 7.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
The seat part 3, the back part 4 and the footrest 5 are connected to the body 1, and to each other so that, when one of these parts moves, and in particular the seat part 3 under the effect of the drive 6,7, from the basic position of FIG. 1 to the rest position of FIG. 2 and further in the lying position 3, or back in the basic position 1, the two other parts (backrest part 4 and footrest 5) are positively driven by the displacement of the seat part 3.
Near its front end and its rear end, the seat part 3 is mounted on the body 1 so that it can slide and pivot via articulated bars 8, 9. The back part 4 is articulated to the body 1 and to the rear end of the seat part 3 by means of articulated bars 10, 11.
The footrest 5 is articulated to the body (at 13) and at the front end of the seat part (at 14) by means of articulated bars 12, while the drive 6, including the movable member (in particular the slide 7) acts on an articulated bar connected to the seat part 3, for example the bar 9, for movement, is also articulated to the body 1. The point of articulation to the body of the articulated bar 8 is designated by 15.
The rear articulated bar 8 of the seat part 3 and an articulated bar 10 of the back part 4 are fixed at the same articulation point 15 fixed on the body 1. As a variant, this articulated bar 8 can also be extended beyond the point of articulation 15, downwards in FIG. 1 of the drawing, the articulation of the articulated bar 10 then taking place at the end of the extension, to allow an even more inclination strong file 4.
The rear end of the seat part 3 is connected by means of an articulated lever 8 to a point of articulation 15 fixed on the body 1, located below
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the rear end of the seat part 3. The lower end of the back part 4 is articulated by means of a double fitting (formed by the two levers 10 and 11), at the rear part of the seat part (at 6) and at the fixed point of articulation of the body. At the front end of the seat part 3 is articulated an articulated lever 9 the other end of which is articulated to the body (at 13), and which extends beyond this articulation (at 13), and can there be pivoted by means of the movable member 7 of the drive 6.
The footrest is articulated at the front end of the seat part 3 by means of a scissor joint (12), a control lever 17 of the scissor joint (12) being coupled by the 'through another control lever 18 to the rear articulated lever 8 articulated to the seat part 3, preferably at its point of articulation provided on the seat part 3.
The arrangement and the embodiment shown in the drawing allow, by means of a single drive 6, the pivoting and the sliding of the seat part 3 from the basic position until in the rest position of FIG. 2 and in the sleeping position 3, as well as in return in the basic position (of FIG. 1), while a positive coupling of the backrest 4 and of the footstools 5 results from the fact that the displacement of the seat part 3 has the effect of pivoting the backrest part 4 and the footrest 5 in the rest position or in the sleeping position.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment, but can be modified in numerous ways within the framework of the disclosure.
All the new characteristics, individual and in combination, disclosed in the description and / or in the drawing are considered to be important for the invention.
