CINTRE EN PLASTIQUE, EN PARTICULIER POUR JUPES OU
PANTALONS

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

PLASTIC HANGER, PARTICULARLY FOR SKIRTS OR
TROUSERS
The present invention relates to a plastic hanger, in particular for skirts or pants.
Plastic hangers are known comprising a bar formed of a pair of arms which are provided with teeth, these hangers being provided in the center with a hanging hook. Two sliding elements, provided with one or two appendages facing downwards, and able to be inserted inside the garment to be hung, to retain it, engage elastically in the teeth.
In particular in the case of the use of the hanger as a hanger for a skirt, the appendages are inserted inside the belt of the skirt, while in the case of a use as a hanger for pants, they come s '' insert into the tubular part of the pants.
Such known hangers, which are suitable for use with garments of different sizes, have the drawback that the toothed bar is visible, and that when the garments are hung, they give the whole an aesthetically unpleasant appearance.
Another type of hanger provides a support in which two arms are pushed outward by springs engaging with the garment. The pressure exerted by the springs can damage a fragile or elastic garment, creating an unpleasant aesthetic effect, and can also stretch the clothes so as to cause permanent degradation to these elastic garments.
The object of the invention is to provide a hanger which can be adjusted, to adapt to all the different dimensions of the clothes and to different types of clothing.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
without the use of elastic elements.
Another object of the invention is to provide an adjustable hanger, in which the arms can be adjusted in the shape corresponding to all the different sizes.
Another object of the invention is to provide a hanger of economical construction and of limited size.
According to the invention, all these objects, and others which will emerge from the description which follows, are achieved with a plastic hanger, in particular for skirts or pants, comprising a tubular central body provided with the hanging hook and two elements support suitable for hanging and / or supporting a garment, said support being connected to the tubular body by a corresponding movable arm which can engage telescopically in said tubular body, and by a connector which connects the two movable arms so that the displacement of one causes equal displacement of the other opposite arm, characterized in that at least one movable arm is provided with an appendage engaging elastically in one of said several housings cut out on the tubular body.
The present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawing, in which: Figure 1 shows in front view a hanger according to the invention, Figure 2 shows in front view an arm of the hanger, Figure 3 shows the hanger in horizontal cross section, showing in detail the arm adjustment device, and Figure 4 shows in front view an arm in a different conformation.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
As can be seen in the figures, the hanger according to the invention is made of injected plastic and is of the flat type and symmetrical with respect to a vertical longitudinal plane.
In the embodiment represented in FIG. 1, there is a horizontal tubular body 1 provided in the center with a flat part 2 to which is fixed a conventional hanging hook 3. On the flat part 2 can be engraved or applied texts advertising.
Inside the tubular body are inserted two arms 4 which form an extendable bar. Each arm 4 comprises a toothed part 5, the end of which cooperates with a pinion 6, the axis of rotation of which is fixed relative to all the horizontal surfaces of the hanger, and is provided with a notch 7 having an appendage 8 provided with a relief 9 having a shape and dimensions slightly smaller than those of corresponding holes 10 made on a surface of the tubular body 1.
The upper edge of each arm 4 is inter alia provided with several hooking elements 11.
On each arm 4 is mounted a gripping element which, in the embodiment shown in Figure 1, consists of a clamp 12 whose branches 13 are made of plastic and held elastically engaged between them and with the corresponding arm by a metal wheel.
The lower end of each branch 13 consists of a rectangular plate 14 coated internally and externally with two layers of flexible anti-slip PVC.
The hanger according to the invention lends itself to many uses, namely to be used either as a skirt hanger or as a pants hanger. In the case of a
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
use as a skirt hanger, the skirt can be retained by the clips 12, or be suspended by engagement of its buttonholes in the hooking elements 11 provided on the edge of the arms.
In the case of use as a pants hanger, the clips 12 can hook the tubular end portions of the pants itself.
To then adapt the extension of the arms relative to the tubular body, it suffices to pull a single arm, since the displacement of the latter in one direction or the other causes, via the pinion 6, the corresponding displacement with the other arm in the opposite direction. This movement of the arms along the tubular body takes place so that the relief 9 of the appendage 8 engages in the hole 10 corresponding to the desired size. Any adjustments can finally be made by moving the clamp 12 along the respective arms.
From the above, it clearly follows that the hanger according to the invention has many advantages, and in particular:
EMI4.1
that it has a limited size, that it is universal in practice, in the sense that it adapts to clothes of any size, - that it does not damage the clothes, by the fact that it exercises an action of hooking and not of traction, which it presents an extremely low production cost, which it makes the operations of unhooking and hanging of the garments extremely fast and easy, - which it allows to vary the exit and return of the arms relative to the tubular body in a simple and easy manner, since it suffices to actuate a single arm.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the arm 4 has vertical edges of the ends which are reduced transversely so as to form a U-shaped profiled part 15 whose profile is concave and turned outwards. Each profiled part is provided on its outer edge with several teeth 16 which are intended to better retain the garment which is to be suspended from the hanger. Each profiled part is also provided with a thickened line 17.
In this embodiment, the use of the hanger as a skirt hanger according to the invention is as follows: the internal part of the profiled part 15 is inserted inside the thickened belt of the skirt, and consequently the corresponding arms 4 slide outwards along the tubular body 1, so as to tighten said belt which remains hooked in a stable manner by said parts 15, due to the impossibility of their spontaneous reciprocal approach following engagement appendages in the holes 10 of the tubular body 1.
To remove the skirt from the hanger, simply grasp the relief 9 so as to release it from the hole 10, and thus allow the inward sliding of the arms, and thus unhook the belt from the skirt.
