Description

P/00/011 28/5/91 Regulation 3.2(2)
AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT Application Number: Lodged: Invention Title: BURGLARPROOF LOCK FOR CAR STEERING WHEEL The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to us II 4, BURGLARPROOF LOCK FOR CAR STEERING WHEEL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention is related to a burglarproof lock for car steering wheel with alarming and scaring effect.
There are various kinds of car burglarproof locks. These burglarproof locks are locked in different manners and in different positions. For example, there are anti-rotation burglarproof lock specifically for. car steering wheel, burglarproof lock for brake pedal, burglarproof lock for handbrake, burglarproof lock for shift stick, etc. Some of the burglarproof locks are equipped with alarming device. For example, a cartridge with an alarm is added to the existent burglarproof lock for car steering wheel. Such design enlarges the volume of the burglarproof lock and lacks integral safety structure. Therefore, such burglarproof lock is impractical and uneconomic.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a burglarproof lock for car steering wheel with alarming and scaring effect. The burglarproof lock can be quickly produced and assembled and has firm and compact structure. Also, the burglarproof lock has excellent alarming effect for scaring the burglar outside the car. The burglar will give up his attempt on breaking the door or window of the car so that the safety of the car is ensured.
The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein: BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Fig. 1 is a perspective exploded view of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a plane assembled view of the present invention; Fig. 3 is a sectional view of the present invention; Fig. 4 is a sectional assembled view of the outer tube body and lock seat of the present invention; Fig. 5 is a sectional view according to Fig. 4, showing a shielded state of the present invention; Fig. 6 shows another embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 7 shows still another embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 8 shows still another embodiment of the present invention; and Fig. 9 shows still another embodiment of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED
EMBODIMENTS
Please refer to Figs. 1 and 6 to 9. The burglarproof lock for car steering wheel of the present invention includes an outer tube body 1, a telescopic bar 2 and a lock seat 3 for controlling extension/retraction of the telescopic bar 2. The cross-section of the outer tube body 1 and the telescopic bar 2 can be square, circular or polygonal without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Referring to Fig. 1, a lateral wall of the outer tube body 1 is formed with a notch 11 adjacent to the opening of the tube body and a through hole 12. The opening of the notch 11 faces forward. The opposite lateral wall is formed with a lock bolt through hole 13 and at least or more than assembling through hole 14, 15. One assembling through hole 14 corresponds to the notch 11 of the opposite wall, while another assembling through hole corresponds to the through hole 12 of the opposite wall. The inner diameter of the assembling through hole 15 is smaller than the inner diameter of the through hole 12.
Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, a lock core 31 is disposed on the lock seat 3 for locking and controlling the telescopic bar 2. The lock bolt 32 of the lock core 31 protrudes from the lock seat 3 to extend into the lock bolt through hole 13 of the outer tube body 1 as shown in Figs. 4 and 5 The lock seat 3 is formed with a cell chamber 33 for receiving a cell therein and formed with an alarm circuit chamber 34. The lock seat 3 is provided with a flickering warning light 341. In addition, the lower side of the lock seat 3 is provided with a hollow hoop 35 having a shape identical to the shape of the cross-section of the outer tube body 1. The bottom of the lock seat 3 is formed with at least or more than one thread hole 36 corresponding to the assembling through holes 14, 15 of the outer tube body 1.
When assembled, fixing members 4 such as screws are extended through the notch 11 and through hole 12 of the outer tube body 1 and through the assembling through holes 14, 15 to fix the lock seat 3 from the inner wall of the outer tube body 1 so that the outer tube body 1 and the lock seat 3 are tightly combined with each other to form an integral body. The telescopic bar 2 is telescopically inserted into the outer tube body 1 to shield the fixing members 4 on inner wall of the outer tube body 1. Therefore, when the telescopic bar 2 is not separated from the outer tube body 1, it is absolutely impossible to detach the fixing members.
When it is desired to renew the cell in the lock seat 3, a user only needs to extract the telescopic bar 2 out of the outer tube body 1. Under such circumstance, the user can extend a tool through the notch 11 and the through hole 12 to untighten the fixing members 4.
At this time, the lock core 3 can be disassembled to renew the cell.
Then the lock core 3 is assembled and restored.
Fig. 7 shows another embodiment of the present invention, in which the outer tube body 1 is formed with a through hole 110 near the opening thereof instead of the notch 11. The inner diameter of the through hole 110 is larger than that of the assembling through hole 14.
The present invention has the following advantages: 1. The lock core and alarm are disposed on the lock seat and the lock seat is assembled with the outer tube body to form a burglarproof assembly.
2. The burglarproof lock of the present invention has compact, firm and safe structure.
3. The burglarproof lock of the present invention has small volume and integrated structure.
4. The burglarproof lock of the present invention can be quickly produced at high efficiency.
The burglarproof lock of the present invention has simplified components and is manufactured at low cost..
6. The burglarproof lock of the present invention has excellent alarming effect for scaring the burglar outside the car. The burglar will give up his attempt on breaking the door or window of the car so that the safety of the car is ensured.
7. The burglarproof lock of the present invention eliminates the shortcomings of large volume, complicated structure, numerous components, high cost and impractical use existing the conventional burglarproof lock.
The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
