Abstract

The surface of the plastic film is treated on one or both sides by exposure to an oxygen-rich flame, thus polarizing the surface and increasing the adhesiveness to paints, varnishes and adhesives. The film is intended in particular for use as masking film in tape form, in the shape of a dome or in some other shape to mask those surfaces of a substrate to be protected before application of a coating agent such as paint or varnish.
