Page 3 of 13 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is defined by the claims with the specific embodiments shown in the attached drawings.
The present invention is directed to the Tri Gear Wheel mechanisms that satisfies the need for an improvement on hydraulic drive mechanism for bicycles. For the purpose of summarizing the invention, the invention comprises a pump unit comprising of an internal Tri-Gear-Wheel mechanism assembly driven by the rotation of the extern pedals by the cyclist. An hydraulic motor in the like manner comprises of an internal Tri-Gear-Wheel mechanism assembly to rotate the rear wheel of the bicycle.
A closed hydraulic oil system together with the pump unit and motor, transmits hydraulic fluid from the pump unit to the motor, then the oil returns to the reservoir which is suitably incorporated in the bicycle frame above the pump unit.
In conclusion, an important feature of the present invention, founded on a mechanical dynamic concept.
It is believed that by this concept powerful fluid energy is developed far higher than any patented hydraulic drive bicycle known to me as indicated in claims of the present invention.
An important feature of the invention is that the first gear wheel due to it's dimension 2 relative to the centre gear wheel, the initial pedal rotation becomes effortless for the cyclist owing to the train gear system; for example, when the first drive gear in the pump is set into motion, driving the centre gear wheel to a moderate speed gathering momentum and gaining velocity creating a dynamic force transmitted to the third gear wheel, turning it fairly rapidly developing a high oil pressure, then, it is delivered to the said motor via a high pressure oil line, this in turn turns the first gear wheel in the said motor at a prescribed speed, gathering velocity and momentum creating a great force which turns the centre gear wheel LLZ 31af*_ mi Page of ,3 that turns the third gear wheel at a prescribed speed with great force turning the rear wheel of the bicycle, moving in a forward movement with the cyclist riding effortlessly.
An other important feature of the present invention is the speed control is governed by the cyclist, the variety of speed in motion is achieved and is dependant on how much pedal rotational force is applied and how fast the pedal is rotated.
The described outline above is offered in'hope that the improvement as a contribution to the field invention, research and development of the hydraulic drive vehicle for the advancement and benefits for all it may concern.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODDIMENTS.
Figure 1 illustrates a bicycle generally indicated as 50 which includes a frame 51 handle bars 53, front and back wheel 54,55, and a peddle assembly 56. A hydraulic 20 pump 57 is attached to the frame 5, a hydraulic fluid supply line 59 runs between the hydraulic pump 57 and a motor 60, and is tapered at the end connected to the motor 60. The motor 60 is coupled to the axle of the back wheel 55 such that operation of the motor 60 causes the wheel to rotate in a clockwise fashion. An hydraulic fluid return supply line 61 connects the motor 60 to an hydraulic fluid holding tank 62 which then feeds the hydraulic fluid back to the hydraulic pump 57 via an hydraulic line 63 when required.
via an hydraulic line 63 when required.
Page 6 of 13 Description cont. (2) The bicycle 50 is operated once rotational energy is imparted on the pedal assembly 56 causing the hydraulic pump 57 to create an hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic fluid supply line 59 which is then passed on to the motor 60 which drives the axle of the back wheel 55 creating movement of the bicycle 50 in the forward direction. The hydraulic fluid.once passed through the motor 60 is then recycled back to the hydraulic pump 57 via the hydraulic fluid return supply line 61 and the hydraulic fluid holding tank 62 where it is reused via the hydraulic fluid feed line .63 in a continuous process until the rotational energy imparted on the assembly 56 ceases.
Referring to Figure 2, the hydraulic fluid is able to move in a continuous process as long as pressure is imparted by the hydraulic pump 57. The hydraulic fluid starts in the hydraulic holding tank 62 where it is fed to the hydraulic pump 57via the hydraulic fluid feed line 63. The hydraulic pump 57 pressurises the hydraulic fluid o. which is then sent to the motor 60 which transfers the hydraulic pressure into rota- *tional movement.
The hydraulic fluid is then recycled back to the hydraulic holding tank 62 where the process can continue on indefinitely.
Referring to Figure 3, three different types of motor are graphically depicted.
There is shown a vane motor 64, a piston motor 65, and a gear motor 66. However, the gear motor is adapted in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to Figure 4, it illustrates a schematic representation of a tri-gear-wheel Mechanism, and improvement in accordance with the present invention, adapted within a hydraulic pump 57, having a small gear wheel 68, upon which a set of pedals 56 are mounted externally, the said gear 68 turns the the large centre gear wheel 69 when the said pedals are rotated.
Page 7 of 13 Description cont. (3) The said centre wheel 69 turns a third gear wheel 68, which is coupled to a hydraulic pump, and a high oil pressure generated from the pump unit 75 to drive the motor via a reinforced oil line.
The pump action begins once the peddels 56 are operated, the first gear 68 is set into motion, this in tumrn rotates a larger centre gear 69, this rotational motion in turn setting the third gear 70 into motion and pressurises the hydraulic fluid, producing a high oil pressure capable to drive a hydraulic motor Referring to Figure 5, it illustrates a schematic representation of a second ti-gearwheel mechanism, an improvement in accordance with the present invention incorporated within a hydraulic motor housing assembly, comprises of a first small drive g: gear 71,a larger centre gear 72 and a moderate size third gear 73. The turning motion of the said motor 60 begins when the said pressurised hydraulic fluid reaches the first drive gear 71 of the said motor 60, forcefully rotating the said gear 71, the oil pressure continue to increase appreciably driving a larger centre gear 72 producing further increasing oil pressure and turning the third gear 73 to a moderate rotational speed ooooo capable of driving a rear wheel of a bicycle 55 that is being adapted externally to the oo* axle the said third gear 73, resulting a forward movement of a bicycle.
20 SThe forward movement speed control of the bicycle is entirely and simply done by by the manner the rider whishes to travel so he paddles accordingly either fast or slowly.
The gear dimensional and ratio relationship between the three gears of the tri-gearwheel mechanism for the pump unit are: typically a 1: 3 or 5 ratio for a first gear pair and (68, and 69) a 3 or 5:1 ratio for the second gear pair (69 and The gear ratio dimensional relationship between the three gears of the tri-gear-wheel for the hydraulic motor are: typically a 1:3 or 5 ratio gear pair (71 and 72), and 3 or 5:1 ratio for the second gear pair (72 and 73).
Page 8 of 13 Description cont. (4) All gearings of the tri-gear-wheel mechanism in the pump unit are suitably mashed for maximum efficiency, in like manner, all gearings of the tri-gear-wheel mechanism for the hydraulic motor are suitably meshed for maximum efficiency.
However, in response to the other hydraulic drive bicycles, it appeared that there is a need for some improvements on hydraulic drive mechanism, such device would provide smooth ride on a bicycle from start to high speed without the usual gear shifting as is occurred on conventional multi-speed bicycles, and in the interest of continual improvement affecting hydraulic drive bicycles, and for this reason the present invention seeks to contribute to this need and interest.
The objectives of the present invention improvement are: To overcome some inadequacies of the of the prior art devices and to provide a significant improvement and contribution to the advancement of hydraulic drive bicycles; To provide some improvements on hydraulic drive mechanisms; To provide lightweight hydraulic and easily ridden bicycles; To ensure cost effective to produce and maintain on the S 20 Snew bicycle; To provide durability and minimal repairs on bicycles of the present invention.
It is hoped that all the above features added together will bring to all the new owners some pride to own and a pleasure to ride the new bicycles of the present invention.
