Abstract

The invention relates to a power supply system for a charge (40), based on a telephone line and comprising the following: a rectifier (1) connected to the line; a capacitor (C) which is serially fed by the rectifier (1) with a first switch (5); a rechargeable storage element such as a battery (BAT) which is serially connected to the rectifier (1) with a second switch (11); a switching power supply (DC-DC), whereby the charge is connected to the output of said switching power supply; and a microcontroller with a supply terminal connector which is connected to the capacitor and which can be connected to the terminal connector of the battery by means of a third switch (13), whereby said microcontroller comprises means for detecting the states of the system and for controlling the first, second and third switches of the switching power supply.
