SYSTEM
This invention relates to a reuseable system for selectively masking a vehicle to protect external areas of the vehicle from overspray during the refinishing process.
According to the present invention the vehicle masking system provides protection to the external areas of a vehicle from overspray during refinishing operations and permits selected areas of the vehicle to be exposed for refinishing.
operation of the vehicle masking system involves the following steps: step 1: The vehicle masking cover is placed over the vehicle Step 2: selected fastners in the vehicle masking cover are unfastened and a section of the cover removed or folded back under the cover such that the area of the vehicle requiring refinishing is exposed.
Step 3: Conventional masking materials are used to fine mask the edges of the vehicle masking cover to minimise overspray onto the vehicle masking cover.
