Abstract

A dust collector for use when drilling holes in concrete. The dust collector works in conjunction with an approved Vacuum that is suitable for silica dust, the device has a vacuum attachment point which starts at 40mm OD and cones up to 55mm OD, allowing for different vacuum attachments to fit securely to the device. The dust collector has 3 main holes, a 30mm hole in the base, directly opposite in the top there is another 30 mm hole, different sized metal inserts/bearings for the deluxe model can be placed in the hole to allow for different drill sized bits. The last hole is designed to allow for airflow directed at the drill point which will when the vacuum is on it will blow via suction onto the drill point which will blow the dust created away from the drill bit and towards the vacuum attachment point. The base of the unit also works as a foot plate so you can place your foot on the device to ensure it does not move during drilling. Sill Vl\ 7-17 T\ -4. 7J .,0 V'3

Summary/Description
This device is designed to collect dust as you drill holes into concrete to reduce the health and safety risks associated with silica dust/concrete dust created when drilling.
This device works in conjunction with an approved Vacuum that is suitable for silica dust, the device has a vacuum attachment point which starts at 40mm OD and cones up to 55mm OD, this allows for different vacuum attachments to fit securely to the device.
The device is made of durable plastic so it is lightweight and can be cleaned with ease.
The are 3 main holes in the device, a 30mm hole in the base/underside directly opposite in the top there is another 30 mm hole but different sized metal inserts/bearings for the deluxe model can be placed in the hole to allow for different drill sized bits.
The last hole is designed to allow for airflow directed at the drill point which will when the vacuum is on it will blow via suction onto the drill point which will blow the dust created away from the drill bit and towards the vacuum attachment point.
There are two measurement attachment points, refer to drawings, this allows the used to measure from the wall for example and the previous drill hole to ensure consistency and accuracy in drilling.
The base of the unit also works as a foot plate so you can place your foot on the device to ensure it does not move during drilling.
