DESCRIPTION

The 'Dent Defender' further referred to in this document as "D.D" is a product which will be used to 'defend' or prevent damage (dents/scratches) to your motor vehicles car door/s, whilst the motor vehicle is parked in a garage or stationery position where damage could occur.

The D.D will be designed to be portable and 'hang' from the motor vehicle window and/or window door frame with a 'special' adjustable strap or hanging device, further details are available in the 'claims' section of this application.

The D.D will have a customizable 'logo', picture, phrase or slogan printed or affixed onto the front 'face' of the product.

The D.D 'mat' will be made of Polyurethane (PE) foam or Neoprene or similar type material and measure approximately 1000mm (length) X 500mm (height) X 10mm (width/thickness).

1. CLAIMS The patent claim is in respect of the D.D (Dent Defender) product which includes but not limited to the 'mat', 'special' adjustable strap or hanging device and method in which it is used, further referred to as 'the device' in this document or related documents provided in the innovation patent application. The Primary function of the D.D is to protect your car door/s against damage (dents/scratches) whilst in a parked position. The hanging device is constructed from cotton and/or polyester 'cloth tape' and measures +-38mm in width (see picture A) with an adjustable plastic 'clip' or 'ladder lock' on one end (see picture B) and fixed to the D.D mat on the other. The hanging device serves two functions, as follows: Function One - To be adjustable and allow fitment to any make/model of car, for example 3 door, 5 door, sedan, hatchback, SUV, Ute, BMW, Holden, saloon, Sports car etcetera. The adjustment can be done by 'pulling' the cloth tape trough the plastic clip until the desired position or hanging height is achieved. Function Two - To prevent the device from being easily removed or stolen while in use, see drawing provided in drawings section to show the device in use. Once the product is placed in position and hanging from the car door or window, the plastic clip will keep the device in place and prevent it from being removed whilst the door is in the closed position.
