Description

Description
The invention relates to a method for mounting a crushing cone on the cone carrier of a cone crusher, wherein the crushing cone is clamped against the 10 conical seat of the cone carrier with the assistance of a hydraulic clamping device by way of a clamping nut which has been screwed onto the cone carrier. The invention also relates to the corresponding method for dismounting the crushing cone. The invention also relates to a cone crusher with a cone carrier and with a crushing cone that can be mounted on the conical seat of the cone carrier, 15 wherein the crushing cone can be clamped against the cone carrier by way of a clamping nut which has been screwed onto a cone carrier peg of the cone carrier.
PRIOR ART
Very generally, in the case of known cone crushers of said type, the tip of the cone 20 carrier transitions into the cylindrical cone carrier peg, which is equipped with an external thread. The thread serves for the screwing-on of a clamping nut which lies by way of its lower face surface against the upper edge of the crushing cone or against a clamping ring which acts on the crushing cone. If the clamping nut is tightened, it presses the crushing cone at least in the lower region against the 25 conical seat of the cone carrier, such that the surfaces, by way of a lever travel, become wedged and the crushing cone is thus held in non-positively locking fashion on the cone carrier. Since the tightening of the clamping nut requires a high expenditure of force, the use of heavy tooling, for example of a hammer wrench and/or of a heavy hammer, is necessary. This is associated not only with 30 the risk of accidents but can, in the case of improper handling, lead to damage of machine parts.

2015243593 11 Jun 2018
More difficult and even more dangerous than the mounting of the crushing cone is the dismounting thereof. The loosening of the clamping nut normally requires greater forces than the tightening process, because the austenitic manganese 5 steel of which the crushing cone is composed for the purposes of realizing a high level of wear resistance increases in volume under intense load, whereby the pressing force of the clamping nut greatly increases.
To solve said problem, it has been proposed, according to DE 1 283 654, to 10 provide, between the cone carrier peg and the clamping nut, a threaded ring which is detachably connected to the cone carrier peg, and a hydraulic pressure device which acts between the threaded ring and the crushing cone. Said solution has the disadvantage that a hydraulic pressure device installed in this way is cumbersome and is, in particular, susceptible to faults. This is the case in particular because the 15 axial pressure generated by the crushing cone acts via the clamping nut on the hydraulic pressure device, and the shear forces that act here lead to leakages in the oil-conducting lines. Furthermore, it is a disadvantage that the hydraulic pressure device is covered by the clamping nut and is no longer accessible in the event of a failure.
Ultimately, systems have become established which use only one clamping nut or one impact head, which can be screwed onto the cone carrier peg, for the clamping of the crushing cone on the conical seat. These also have the advantage that the orientation of the thread between cone carrier peg and clamping nut can 25 be opposed to the rotation of the crushing cone, such that loosening during operation is ruled out. However, this also impedes the dismounting process.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It would be advantageous if embodiments of the present invention could provide 30 an alternative method for the mounting of a crushing cone on, and for the dismounting of a crushing cone from, the cone carrier of a cone crusher with the
8255575_1 (GHMatters) P104182.AU
2015243593 11 Jun 2018 aid of hydraulic forces, which method is practicable, can be implemented inexpensively with simple technical means, and generates, by way of convenient handling, a substantially high clamping force between the crushing cone and the conical seat. Furthermore, it would be advantageous if embodiments of the 5 present invention could provide a system that is easy and inexpensive to realize, that ensures convenient and reliable mounting and dismounting of the crushing cone, and that ensures the reliable operation of a cone crusher while realizing a substantially high level of performance.
In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for mounting a crushing cone on the cone carrier of a cone crusher, the crushing cone being clamped against the conical seat of the cone carrier with the assistance of a hydraulic clamping device with a clamping nut which has been screwed onto the cone carrier, wherein the screwed-on clamping nut is applied against the crushing cone directly or with the interposition of a clamping ring, wherein the hydraulic clamping device is mounted removably on the cone carrier and is actuated, said hydraulic clamping device pressing the crushing cone against the conical seat of the cone carrier directly or with the interposition of the clamping ring, wherein the applied clamping nut is retightened while the clamping device 20 acts on the crushing cone, and wherein the clamping device is relaxed and is dismounted.
The major advantage of the approach according to the first aspect of the present invention lies in the fact that the hydraulic clamping device is not subjected to the 25 destructive forces that prevail during the operation of the cone crusher, and therefore functions reliably. A further major advantage is that use can be made of commercially available clamping devices, in particular in the form of hydraulic nuts. For the use of commercially available hydraulic nuts, only few modifications to the cone carrier are necessary. Accordingly, the use of the clamping devices 30 according to embodiments of the present invention, specifically in the form of
8255575_1 (GHMatters) P104182.AU
2015243593 11 Jun 2018 hydraulic nuts and corresponding clamping plates, makes it possible for existing cone crushers to be easily converted for the use thereof with a hydraulic clamping device of said type. Furthermore, both the hydraulic pressure device and the clamping nut are accessible at all times for any repair work.
In one embodiment, the screwed-on clamping nut is applied against the crushing cone by hand or by way of easy handling of a corresponding tool, said clamping nut thus being only hand-tightened. With the deployment of the hydraulically driven piston, the crushing cone is pressed against the conical seat of the cone 10 carrier directly or with the interposition of the clamping ring. While the clamping device acts on the crushing cone in this way, the applied but now unloaded clamping nut can be retightened by the travel of the clamping action. Finally, the clamping device is relaxed and is removed from the cone carrier.
As stated, it is particularly advantageous if, as a clamping device, use is made of a commercially available hydraulic nut. Hydraulic nuts of said type are used for the mounting and dismounting of rolling bearings. According to one embodiment of the invention, after the clamping nut has been screwed on, the hydraulic nut is screwed coaxially with respect to said clamping nut onto a cone carrier peg which 20 is formed coaxially on the tip of the cone carrier.
In accordance with a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a system comprising:
- a cone crusher with a cone carrier and a crushing cone which can be mounted 25 on the conical seat of the cone carrier, wherein the crushing cone can be clamped against the cone carrier by way of a clamping nut which is screwed onto a cone carrier peg which is formed coaxially on the tip of the cone carrier,
- a clamping plate which is fitted removably onto the cone carrier peg and which, in the fitted state, engages over the clamping nut, wherein the clamping plate acts on the crushing cone directly or with the interposition of the clamping ring, and

2015243593 11 Jun 2018
- a hydraulic nut which can be screwed onto the cone carrier peg and which acts on the clamping plate.
Here, it is particularly advantageous for different external threads to be provided on the cone carrier peg for the clamping nut and for the hydraulic nut.
Accordingly, in one embodiment, the cone carrier peg is surrounded by a first external thread for the screwing-on of the clamping nut and by a second external thread, which is situated behind the first external thread in relation to the crushing 10 cone, for the screwing-on of the hydraulic nut. For simple mounting of the clamping nut, it is advantageous if the diameter of the second external thread is smaller than the diameter of the first external thread and is smaller than the internal thread of the clamping nut, such that the clamping nut can be easily passed over the second external thread.
It is advantageous for a clamping plate to be provided which acts on the deploying ring-shaped piston of the hydraulic nut and which is provided as a force-imparting component which is adapted individually to the structural geometry of the cone crusher. Here, it is advantageous for the clamping plate to be equipped, for the 20 effective exertion of action by the ring-shaped piston, with an areal top flange against which the ring-shaped piston can be applied. With regard to a simple construction, it is furthermore advantageous if the top flange is adjoined by a thrust ring which engages over the clamping nut and which acts on the crushing cone directly or with the interposition of the clamping ring. To be able to manipulate the 25 clamping nut that is surrounded by the thrust ring, apertures may be provided in the circumference of the thrust ring, through which apertures rotary levers can be inserted into corresponding receptacles in the clamping nut.
In accordance with a third aspect of the present invention, there is provided a 30 method for the dismounting of the crushing cone that has been screwed onto the cone carrier, and clamped against the conical seat of the cone carrier, by way of
8255575_1 (GHMatters) P104182.AU
2015243593 11 Jun 2018 the clamping nut. For this purpose, the crushing cone is firstly pressed onto the conical seat by way of a hydraulic clamping device mounted on the cone carrier. During the imparting of the action, the clamping nut is then loosened to such an extent that the crushing cone, which later relaxes, can expand without abutting 5 against the clamping nut again. After having been sufficiently loosened, the clamping device, and with it the crushing cone, are relaxed and dismounted. Finally, the clamping nut is fully unscrewed, and the crushing cone is lifted off.
PREFERRED EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION
A preferred embodiment of the cone crusher according to the invention will be discussed in more detail below on the basis of the figures, in which:
figure 1 shows a section through the head of the cone crusher, figure 2 shows the cone carrier peg with mounted hydraulic pressing device, and figure 3 shows a hydraulic nut.
Figure 1 firstly illustrates a section through the head of the cone crusher according to an embodiment of the invention. Here, the material for crushing that is introduced into the cone crusher is comminuted between the static crushing ring 1 of the housing upper part 2 and the crushing cone 3 that is seated on a conical 25 seat 13.2 on the foot of the cone carrier 4. The cone carrier 4 is, by way of the driven eccentric bushing 5, caused to perform a wobbling movement, whereby the crushing gap 6 between the crushing ring 1 and crushing cone 3 varies in a continuously encircling manner. In the crushing gap 6, the material for crushing is comminuted by way of squeezing and percussive action until it can exit the cone 30 crusher through the crushing gap 6.

2015243593 11 Jun 2018
The driven eccentric bushing 5 rotates in a radially guided manner about an axle 7 which is fixedly clamped in the housing lower part 8. The axial support of the cone carrier 4 is realized by way of a spherical axial bearing 10 arranged on the head of a cylinder piston 9. The cylinder piston 9 is integrated into the axle 7 and permits the axial displacement of the cone carrier 4 and thus of the crushing cone 3 for the purposes of adjusting the width of the crushing gap 6.
The fastening of the crushing cone 3 to the cone carrier 4 is realized by way of a clamping nut 16 (figure 2) which is screwed onto the cone carrier peg 12 arranged 10 coaxially on the tip of the cone carrier 4 and which acts on the upper edge of the crushing cone 4 with the interposition of a clamping ring 11. The clamping ring 11 is mounted in axially displaceable fashion on the cone carrier peg 12 and lies against the upper edge of the crushing cone 3. Here, said clamping ring offers a support for the clamping nut 16.
By way of the clamping force generated by the clamping nut 16, the crushing cone 4 is clamped onto the conical seat 13.2 at the foot of the cone carrier 4. In the upper region, a cavity remains between the cone carrier 4 and the crushing cone 4, which cavity is later filled with sealing compound 21 via bores 20. The cone 20 carrier peg 12 projects upward from the radially flattened neck 13.2 of the cone carrier 4 and is, for protection, covered by an impact head in the form of a dome 22.
According to the embodiment of the invention, the crushing cone 3 is, in the case 25 of the approach mentioned above, mounted on the cone carrier 4 or dismounted from the cone carrier 4 while a hydraulic clamping device 14 presses the crushing cone 3 into the conical seat 13.2 of the cone carrier 4 with a high clamping force.
The assistance according to the embodiment of the invention consists in that the crushing cone 3 is pre-clamped to the clamping device 14 by way of the clamping 30 ring 11 before the clamping nut 16 is screwed tight.

2015243593 11 Jun 2018
The hydraulic clamping device 14 has a hydraulic nut 15 and a clamping plate 17 (figure 3), wherein the hydraulic nut 15 acts on the cone carrier 4 via the clamping plate 17. The clamping plate 17 is fitted removably onto the cone carrier peg 12 and, in the fitted state, engages over the clamping nut 16. Like the clamping nut 5 16, the clamping plate 17 also acts on the crushing cone 3 with the interposition of the clamping ring 11.
The clamping plate 17 has a top flange 23, which is acted on by the hydraulic nut
15, and a thrust ring 24 which acts on the crushing cone 3 with the interposition of 10 the clamping ring 11, which thrust ring encompasses the clamping nut 16. The clamping ring 11 thus also offers a support for the thrust ring 24. In the circumference of the thrust ring 24 there are provided apertures through which the clamping nut 16 is accessible to insertable rotary levers 18. The rotary levers 18 are, for the purposes of rotating the clamping nut 16, temporarily inserted into 15 corresponding bores which are arranged in the circumference of the clamping nut
16.
The cone carrier peg 12 has a first external thread 25 for the screwing-on of the clamping nut 16 and has a second external thread 26, which is situated behind or 20 above said first external thread in relation to the crushing cone 3, for the screwingon of the hydraulic nut 15. Here, the diameter of the second external thread 26 is smaller than that of the first external thread 25 and is smaller than the internal thread of the clamping nut 16. It is thus possible for the clamping nut 16 to be pushed onto the cone carrier peg 12 without obstruction by the second external 25 thread 26.
After the mounting of the crushing cone 3 and the dismounting of the hydraulic nut and clamping plate 17, a ring-shaped thread guard 19 is screwed onto the second external thread 26. Finally, to protect the cone carrier peg and the screw 30 connection, an impact dome 22 is mounted onto the cone carrier peg.

Figure 3 shows a hydraulic nut 15 which has a ring-shaped body 27 with an internal thread and with a ring-shaped groove in the side surface. A ring-shaped piston 28 is inserted into the ring-shaped groove. Two sealing rings 29 seal off the ring-shaped piston 28 in the ring-shaped groove. The ring-shaped piston 28 is 5 actuated by hydraulic oil which is pumped into the pressure chamber 30. For the connection of oil lines, threaded bores 31 with screwed-in adapter pieces 32 are provided. A manometer 33 can be screwed into a threaded bore.
The mounting of the crushing cone is now performed by way of the following 10 steps:
- The crushing cone 3 is mounted onto the cone carrier 4.
- The clamping ring 11 is mounted centrally onto the crushing cone 3 by way of the cone carrier peg 12.
- The clamping nut 16 is screwed onto the cone carrier 4 and handtightened, such that the clamping ring 11 and the crushing cone 3 lie against the cone carrier 4.
- The clamping plate 17 is mounted.
- The hydraulic nut 15 is screwed on and is activated, such that the crushing cone 3 is hydraulically clamped on the conical seat 13.2 of the cone carrier
4.
- The clamping nut 16 is screwed tight by way of the inserted rotary levers 18.
- The hydraulic nut 15 is dismounted, and the clamping plate 17 is removed.

- The thread guard 19 is screwed on.
- The remaining intermediate space between crushing cone 3 and cone carrier 4 is sealed with sealing compound 21 via the bores 20 in the clamping ring 11.
- The impact dome 22 is mounted.
The dismounting of the crushing cone is performed by way of the following steps:
- The impact dome 22 is removed.
- The thread guard 19 is unscrewed.
- The clamping plate 17 is mounted, and the hydraulic nut 15 is mounted.
- By way of the hydraulic nut 15, the clamping ring 11 is pre-clamped such that the clamping nut can be easily loosened by way of the inserted rotary levers 18.
- The hydraulic nut 15 is dismounted, and the clamping plate 17 is removed.
- The clamping nut 16 is unscrewed, and the clamping ring 11 is lifted off.
- The crushing cone 3 is removed.
