Abstract

A heavy duty rotationally moulded plastic pallet made from LLDPE material with a contoured top deck and has four ways forklift entry points blowing lifting from all sides, and is designed to hold a 1 ton load in a pallet rack. The pallet has a separate steel frame inside for extra strength. Each pallet interlocks with the next stacked pallet.

Silverlock Supa Pallet Product Description: This product is a heavy duty rotationally moulded plastic pallet made from LLDPE material with a contoured top deck. The pallet has four way forklift entry points allowing lifting from all sides, and is designed to hold a 1 ton load in a pallet rack. The pallet has a separate steel frame inside for extra strength. There are 2 steel plates which are attached to the outer front and rear face of the pallet. The plates are attached by means of rivets or screws. Each pallet interlocks with the next stacked pallet. Drawings and product specifications are attached. Silverlock Supa Pallet Usage: This product is used as a heavy duty pallet, allowing a 19 ton static top load and 1 ton dynamic load. Both loads need to be evenly spread across the pallet. The pallet is made from a special grade of low density polyethylene, and as such is suitable in all operating areas of a bussiness, including the warehouse, outdoor, and in cool and chiller rooms. These rooms drop down as low as -30'c. The pallet can be left in the cool rooms for periods of 72 hours with no effect. The steel loose inner frame allows for the pallet to be used for both beam racking and drive in racking. The pallet does not bow more than 12mm over the total length with a 1 ton load on drive-in racking. This is possible due to this unique loose inner frame. Other pallets designed for this purpose are injection moulded plastic palltes with steel rods inserted so that they are fixed within the pallet. In these designs, the plastic bows when the steel does not, resulting in the plastic eventually breaking away. The uniquely profiled top deck allows for product to be lifted and removed from the pallet by using extra wide fork lift tynes, increasing unloading efficiencies. The top of the pallet has ribbing to provide a grip for loaded product, as well as interlock within the slots on the base of another pallet. This significantly reduces movement when pallets are stacked and being moved. The steel front and rear face plates are fitted to the pallet to prevent damage from fork lift tynes on entry. The forklift tyne entry points also have angled lead ins to prevent direct collision. The pallet has a smooth outer surface allowing it to be easily cleaned, and can be washed with either hot or cold water. Claims

1. This product is used as a heavy duty pallet, allowing a 19 ton static top load.
