Description

DESCRIPTION : DOG FAECES CARRIER The purpose of the invention is to provide a small, simple device that enables easy carrying of dog faeces, by the dog. While most people do not have a problem with picking up their dog's faeces with a plastic bag, if a bin is not immediately present when a dog has defecated, the dog walker is required to carry the bag of poo until a bin can be found. This can result in embarrassment from having to carry dog faeces in public places, and, when a bin is not found within a short time or on the walking route, the plastic bags of poo are sometimes discarded on pathways. This invention will make it easier for dog walkers to deal with the removal of dog faeces, whereby the carrying of the faeces is undertaken by the dog, in a neat pouch attached to the dog collar. The walker does not need to carry anything, this is done by the dog. All the walker needs to do is pick up the faeces and then tip out the contents of the pouch when a bin is reached. Being small, it is not a cumbersome product. The pouch makes life easier for the walker. This product is a cylindrical shaped pouch/receptacle that is attached closely to the dog collar, by two straps with Velcro tabs on each end of the pouch so that the pouch sits under the dog's head (see figure 3). It is envisaged the pouch is made of flexible, light, yet sturdy material, such as neoprene. The pouch is a cylindrical shape, with two 'u' shaped sides. The pouch is folded/closed in such a way to make a cylindrical shaped receptacle, with the overlap of material being fastened to the front by a Velcro strip (figure 2). When opened, a wide mouth runs along the full length of the pouch to enable easy insertion of the bagged faces (figure 1). When the pouch is closed, the sides fold in slightly and are held in place by Velcro tabs on the inside of the pouch. This pouch is attached to the dog collar by the side strains of the pouch which are looped through the dog collar and fastened with Velcro tabs on the strap and pouch (figure 3). These straps allow for a snug attachment to the dog collar and reduce movement of the pouch while the dog is walking. he dog walks with this pouch attached to its collar. Some plastic bags can be held inside the pouch. When required, the dog walker takes off the pouch. The dog faeces are picked up and put into a plastic disposal bag, (which can be any bag whether commercially produced or recycled plastic bags), and then put into the pouch. The pouch is closed up and reattached to the dog. The dog continues to walk until a bin is found. The pouch is taken off the dog collar, pulled open and the contents tipped in the bin. It is assumed that the pouch wii hold at least 2 bagged faeces. Just like a pencil case, which is not an elaborate design but performs a necessary function, so too, this pouch is a simple design but we envisage will perform a necessary and convenient function to enable dog walkers to deal with removing dog faeces while walking the dog. It is envisaged that the invention will be produced in medium and large sizes and may even become a fashionable dog accessory.
