Description

Description Specification Description This invention relates to simplifying drying time when at the pool, beach or bath time.
For many parents, a simple visit to the pool or beach can become a complex packing process, whereby they need to pack a towel for drying after the swim, a towel for drying after the shower, and clean, dry and warm clothes for going home. There are many towels on the market today that try to address this issue, one being a towel with a waterproof outer-layer for weather-proofing, and others being a hooded towel or similar. However, none of these towels addresses the requirement for two towels to accomplish complete dryness.
The Toodie overcomes this problem by providing for two towels in one. This is accomplished by a unique three layer system, whereby there is a layer of absorbent towelling material, followed by an inner layer of light-weight water-resistant material, and sandwiched together by a second layer of towelling material, thus forming two towels in one, shown in Figure One.
The towelling material is colour coded to enable the person to easily identify which side they have used, as demonstrated in Figure Four.
In order to assist in understanding the Toodie design, reference will now be made to a number of illustrations that show one particular function of the design.
In the illustrations: Figure One illustrates the unique three-layered system of the Toodie Figure Two illustrates the hooded design for a smaller child or baby Figure Three is an example of the Toodie being worn by a child Figure Four shows the double-sided aspect of the Toodie In one variation of the design, the three-layered towelling system is converted into a hooded design, whereby upon exiting the water, the Toodie can be placed over the recipients head and fastened into place using Velcro tabs. The hood will keep the head dry. Once used, the Toodie can then be turned inside out and used again with a layer of completely dry towelling, or worn on the trip home to ensure dryness, warmth, and weather-proofing. This is shown in Figure Two, whereby you can see the hooded form of the Toodie. Smaller versions also include a hole for wearing in the car. This enables the car seat buckle to go through the hole.
Further variations include a variety of coloured towelling, with the purpose being that the two colours used in the design are dissimilar to ensure adequate identification while using the towel.
In another variation of the design, the Toodie is designed similar to a conventional towel, which also has other applications including a water-resistant blanket for the ground, change mat, and so on. In larger forms, older children and adults can use the Toodie.
The tabs are made from the towelling used throughout the Toodie, with sewn-in Velcro fastening tape. The front of the Toodie has fastening tape sewn-in to enable the tabs to fasten to the towelling material.
