Description

INO For patent No 2006100478 SThe cleaning brush by Frederick Barnes Description The subject matter of the invention is the cleaning brush which is a simple unit made from flexible plastic and or rubber, which is designed to replace common household kitchen products, such as sponges, brushes, scoops scourers, and other cleaning implements. Current hand held devices used for dish-washing cannot remove particles C. from narrow or small crevices, such as those found in food processors, blades and other kitchen implements. The cleaning brush uses several flexible fingers along a tapered 00 edge, which can bend and flex to follow any contour and allow any number of fingers to reach any comrner or crevice to remove any particles. The flexibility of the cleaning brush is also effective at wiping or brushing liquids or loose particles along any contour. The curved and tapered shape across its width allows the user to scoop and dispose of the liquid or particles or bend and flex to reach the bottom inside of differently shaped cups and glasses. A scourer can be attached Velcro to underneath in the concave front area and just behind the fingers to allow the user to remove stubborn stains.
Illustration in figure 1 shows how the product is specially designed to have the ability to reach hard to get to areas, such as blades, food processors, and the bottom corner of cups, without getting the users hands dirty. This is demonstrated by a combination discussed in the claims. Figure 1 shows a curved cleaning surface along the front and sides. This feature is optional and is incorporated into the design for appearance; The cleaning surface to this surface has a series of separation cuts to the centre thickness of 6 mm and in figure 2 with a tapered curve along its width this these features provide the cleaning brush with the advantage of being easy to clean. The manner in which this function works is for the user to press the front cleaning down onto a relatively flat surface and rinse under running tap water. This will separate the 9 through cuts along the tapered edge-cleaning surface as the front is bent strait. See figure 2 and These features combined with the characteristics of flexible material construction makes the cleaning brush easy to clean, hygienic and have a long service life, which is characterised by light grey material (flexible material) in figure I and 2. Figure 2 and figure 3 shows the curve along its width, this design allows the user to hold and use the tool in several ways: thumb on top fingers underneath for brushing: fingers on top and thumb underneath for scooping
