A HAND HELD INTERNAL PIPE ROTARY CUTTING TOOL: The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: A HAND HELD INTERNAL PIPE CUTTING TOOL.
Cutting P V C pipe below surface level of concrete, either being to re-align the pipe because of not being in exact position needed, or pipe damage below surface of concrete.
Normal proceedure is to jack-hammer concrete surrounding the pipe with enough depth and circumference to allow a 100mmelectric grinder to cut and dress the pipe ready for extension or re-alignment.
The safety involved with flying concrete and steel re-enforce- 0 ment particals byiusage.ofcgrinders and jack-hammers, with the removal of concrete and steel re-enforcement will be less by my present invention, which the internal rotary pipe cutting tool is able to fit internally in P V C pipe as low as in diameter. Note that pipes have rubber foam wrapped around them for protection of concrete expansion.and gives valuable room between concrete and pipe, when pipe is cut off below damaged section a socket can be installed for extension of pipe.
The tool is long and slender, at one end the cutting wheel is affixed with a threaded end on the shaft and fastened with threaded lock washers.
The tool has a round handle with a knurled grip and has internal ball bearing races between handle and driving shaft for smooth opperation, support, guidance and hand protection.
The tool can be driven by a low revolution low voltage battery drill.
The tool parts are machined from hardened and tempered steel, the handle is of aluminium.
