Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable adjustment rotary moments to be dependent solely on the control of an adjustment power generator by causing the screw direction of a clamping screw shaft drivingly connected to one adjustment gear to be opposite to that of a clamping screw shaft drivingly connected to the other adjustment gear. CONSTITUTION: Energization of a power generator 4 causes the rotations of a rotor, a drive shaft 13, and a drive member 8, causing the interlocking rotations of output gears 91, 92 in the same direction. However, since the rotating direction of the output gear 91 is reversed during transmission of rotation to an intermediate gear 201, both of the intermediate gears 201, 202 and both of adjustment gears 61, 62 are put into relative rotations in opposite directions to cause the axial movement of an adjustment rod 2. The operation of this movement conversion system 3 has no relation to whether or not a work spindle 1 is driven, i.e., whether or not the adjustment gears 61, 62 and the intermediate gears 201, 202 are driven in interlocking with the work spindle 1 or whether or not they are stopped.
