Abstract
The zinc alloy comprises zinc, aluminum (0.005-2 or 0.005-0.015 wt.%), copper (0.1-1 or 0.1-0.2 wt.%), titanium (0.06-0.25 or 0.08-0.12 wt.%), boron (0.001-0.5 wt.%) or nitrogen (0.001-0.5 wt.%) and further alloying components, where the zinc alloy contains no additions of silicon and magnesium. Independent claims are included for (1) a mold body made of zinc alloy; and (2) a method for producing zinc alloys.
