Abstract
A method of performing handover in a wireless network and a device thereof are provided to supply communication without disconnection without respect to a situation of a specific device. The first device is selected as a new regulator. A handover request message is transmitted to the first device(S410). A response message about the handover request message is received from the device(S440). A beacon is broadcast(S480). The beacon includes ID of the first device and the number of beacons that the regulator transmits before handover. The first device broadcasts the beacon as the new regulator after the regulator broadcasts the last beacon(S570).
