Abstract

The racquet e.g. squash racquet (1) has a racquet head (2), and a racquet shaft (3) including a cross sectional profile curved around an entire circumference of the shaft. Multiple notches are provided in the sectional profile and run in a longitudinal direction of the racquet shaft. The sectional profile is designed to be oval and arranged such that a longer axis of the oval runs in a direction perpendicular to a covering-plane of the racquet and a shorter axis of the oval runs in a direction in the covering plane. The ratio of the longer and shorter axes lies in a range between 1.2 and 1.5.
