Abstract

The regulator for controlling the flow and/or pressure of a fluid, e.g. a gas at a pressure of 1 - 100 bars, being transferred between a high-pressure reservoir (H) and a second reservoir (S) consists of a first valve (1) with a control solenoid (2), located in a duct (10, 11, 12) connecting the two reservoirs, a Laval tube (3) with an electrical head loss detector (4), and a second valve (5) with a control solenoid (6) between the downstream side of the Laval tube and an outlet orifice (R). It also has a micro-programmed unit (7) to receive the data from the head loss detector and control the two valves. The system can be used to control the three blow-moulding phases in the production of PET containers: pre-blowing, blowing and relaxation.
