Abstract

The invention relates to an ink cartridge for an ink-jet printer, said ink cartridge being characterised by an ink supply system consisting of a long thin fibre (4) around the ink outlet (6), a downwardly extending lever (1) produced from an elastic part or material, and a labyrinth-type capillary tube (3). Said novel ink cartridge ensures a constant and reliable supply of ink and thus an evenly executed printing process. The pressure inside the ink reservoir of the ink cartridge is kept in a narrow, defined region, increasing the print capacity and yield, and reducing the consumption, and especially the loss, of ink. The invention enables the production costs of the ink cartridge to be reduced, and the inventive ink cartridge can be mass produced with a consistently high quality.
