Abstract

The invention relates to door lock for a motor vehicle, comprising a locking mechanism (1, 2), at least one release lever (3), and a drive (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) impinging upon the release levers (3). According to the invention, the drive (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) interacts indirectly with the release lever (3) by means of an interconnected power storage device (12) thereby ensuring that an electrically initiated opening process can be fully completed in any event, irrespective of any problems which might occur during the drive operation (5, 6, 7, 8, 9).
