Abstract
The invention relates to a camshaft adjuster for an internal combustion engine. In camshaft adjusters, spring elements which influence the moment conditions for the positional definition and influencing of the camshaft adjuster are usually arranged so as to lie on the inside of the housing. According to the invention, a spring element (29) is arranged outside the housing (4) in a camshaft adjuster (1), a spring base point of the spring element (29) being supported via a pin (21) which penetrates the housing (4) and is connected fixedly in terms of rotation to a rotor (6).
