Abstract

The invention relates to the field of electrical switches and more particularly to a fused interrupter (1) comprising a housing (2), a cover (3) that is mounted on the housing so as to be pivotable about a swivel bearing (4), and at least one fuse-link (6) in which contacts (7) of the fuse-link (6) and mating contacts (8) assigned thereto are closed when the cover is closed while the contacts (7, 8) are open when the cover is open. In order to render said fused interrupter more reliable regarding the protection of persons and installations, the at least one fuse-link (6) is mounted on a movable support (5), the contacts (7, 8) being closed in an ON position of the support (5) and the contacts (7, 8) being open in an OFF position of the support (5). Moreover, the support (5) can be locked in the ON position counter to the force of a spring (10) by means of a latching mechanism (9) while being releasable to be moved into the OFF position thereof when the cover (3) is placed at a predefined opening angle (a).
