Abstract

A process for the manufacture of a noble metal having fibrous morphology comprising the phases of: i) preparation of a colloidal suspension of a metal in the elementary state in the presence of a polymer; ii) separation of the metal in the elementary state and the polymer to obtain a metal-polymer nanocomposite; and iii) combustion of the metal-polymer nanocomposite with consequent elimination of the polymer phase to obtain a metal having fibrous morphology.
