Abstract

The shock absorbing system for toilet seats and lids comprises a shock absorber (2) whose ends can rotate with respect to each other. This is mounted in a housing (13) which is fastened to the seat or lid. An end piece (11) attached to this, and which can rotate with respect to it, is fastened to the toilet bowl.
