Abstract

A rail system comprises a track for a rail-mounted vehicle (18-20) and units (7-14) which are adapted to send information to the rail-mounted vehicle (18-20). It comprises at least one group of units with at least one pair of units (7-14), which are arranged in a spaced-apart manner in the transverse direction of the track and which are adapted to send information about the position of each unit in the transverse direction of the track and identity information which identifies the group of units.
