Abstract

A propulsion unit for motor boats is disclosed, wherein a drive member (10,110) is assembled within the hull bottom, in proximity of the transom (20) and drives at least one propeller (30) having a large-diameter hub (31) and being placed outside the hull in proximity of the transom (20).
