Abstract

1. Injection pump for internal-combustion engines, especially diesel engines, which is preferably combined with an injection nozzle (24) to form a constructional pump/nozzle unit, having a pump piston (4) and a pump-piston bush (11), a suction space (12) which can be put in communication with the pressure space (1) of the pump piston (4) via at least one bore (10) in the pump-piston bush (11), and a device for adjusting the injection rate and/or the injection point of the injection pump, having a randomly adjustable shut-off member actuable independently of the stroke of the pump piston (4) and located between the pressure space (1) of the injection pump and the suction space (12) of the latter or a return line, characterized in that the shut-off member is designed as a sleeve (13) surrounding the pump-piston bush (11) coaxially and has at least one radial perforation (15) which, as a result of rotation or shifting in the axial direction, can be brought into a position aligned with the bore or bores (10) in the pump-piston bush (11) and a position covering the bore or bores (10) in the pump-piston bush (11).
