Abstract
The points system (1) has at least a semi-conductor switch (131,132) to switch on the voltage (L1,L2) for the points drive (2) and a relay (WN) with a contact pair wired in series with the semi-conductor switch in order to cut off the power supply (110) in rest position. The drive has an adjustable resistor (V1,V2) wired in parallel to at least one relay contact. It has a double processor system (10) to control the relay and the semi-conductor switch. On switching it on, first the relay contact is closed and then the points drive is switched on by the semi-conductor switch. On switching off the drive, first the semi-conductor switch is switched off and finally the relay contact is opened.
