Abstract

The adjustable wrench comprises a space defined between each side of a neck, of adjustable jaw (30) received in track (13) of frame (10) and meshed with adjusting worm (21), and each of opposite walls of the track. At least one through hole (341) is provided in the neck in which a spacer or packing device (41) is fixed and extends through the space into engagement with each of the opposite walls. The packing device comprises a cylindrical elastic member with ends respectively engaged against opposite walls and provides resistance between adjustable jaw and the frame. The adjustable jaw also comprises a sliding block disposed at the bottom side of the bottom neck. the bottom neck and the sliding block are both received in the track of the frame.
