Abstract

The valve unit has at least one fluid passage(7,8) and at least one movable valve component(12-14) for shutting of the fluid passage. The valve component has spherical shut-off face(19) and is formed as a ball. A contact face(18) is provided in the fluid passage and upon it lies the valve component at least under high pressure. The contact face is formed by a face which is fluid-tight in its shut-off position, and is formed directly by a wall section of the fluid passage.
