Selbstspen'endes Sicherheitsschloss.

Self-locking security lock.
The invention relates to a safety lock with a latch bolt which automatically falls into the locked position when the door is slammed or when it is lifted out by the key and this is then released; however, when it is lifted through the door handle, it only returns to the latch closed position.
In order to cause the latch bolt to fall automatically into the locked position, a driver and a pawl are provided, of which the former is actuated by the bolt when the latch bolt is lifted out of the latch closing position and thereby arranges the tumblers, while the latch that has been established up to that point and has now been released holds the orderly tumblers in their position until they are disengaged again by the latch bolt that shoots into the locked position, shortly before it reaches the locked position.
So that said device remains ineffective when the door handle is operated, d. H. the trap

Nut provided arm brought out of the area of the tumblers so that they can remain in an orderly state through'den driver, but not in an orderly state at the right moment, which has the consequence that the latch bolt only up to the first stop of the tumblers d. i. to. advances into the latch closing position.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated, for example, u. between shows: Fig. 1 shows the lock with the cover plate lifted and the bolt in the latch closed position in view and 'Fig. 2 the same picture with the latch bolt fully disengaged.

pins 10, 11 and is influenced by a spring 12 in such a way that its side facing the cuff always rests on the rear side surface of the latch head 13. The driver 9 acts through the pins 10, 11 on projections 14, 15 of the tumblers 3 and also influences a pawl 26, which is loosely rotatable and longitudinally displaceable by means of an elongated hole 17 on a pin 18 of the lock base and is fixed by the thumb 19 'of the Nut 19 is held in the lowest position, a spring 20 tries to move the pawl 16 against the locking direction of the latch 1.
The pawl 16 rests with the front side of its active end 16 'against the projections 15 of the tumblers 3 as long as the latch bolt 1 is not lifted from the latch closed position.
If the latch bolt 2 is lifted out of the latch closing position by the key or when the door is slammed, the latch head 13 pivots the driver 9, which lifts and arranges the tumblers 3 by means of the successively acting pins 10, 11. Shortly before the tumblers are arranged, the projections 15 are above the pawl end 16 'so that the pawl 16 can engage under the projections 15. The pawl 26 is, however, supported on the back of the driver 9 by means of an extension 16a and is only free when the tumblers 3 are arranged. To that

For this purpose, the driver 9 has a recess 21 at a corresponding point, which allows the pawl 16 to be pivoted out.
The released pawl 16 engages with its end 16 'under the projections 15 and thereby holds the tumblers 3 in the ordered position. The now unlocked latch bolt 1 shoots through the action of the spring 2 into the two-speed locking division. When the locking pin 22

Operate the door handle of the latch bolt j! does not always fall into the locked position, in addition to the thumb 19 'acting in a known manner on the pin 25 of the bolt 1, an arm 26 is also provided on the nut 19 which, when the door handle is depressed, pushes against a pin 27 of the handle and this when it continues to move takes with it, the pawl 16 coming out of the area of the projections 15. The tumblers 3 are therefore well ordered by the driver 9, but not held in the ordered position, so that when the door handle is released, the one advancing
