 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The kiln, which is the subject of the Austrian Privilege Reg. Vol. 48, p. 4572, has a sloping draft for burning with a reducing flame and subsequent consumption of smoke. Its lower oven is used to cook glazed porcelain or biscuit porcelain, and its upper oven to burn the porcelain.

Many factories, however, only manufacture biscuit porcelain, for which it is unnecessary to burn it up, that is, to burn it slightly in the upper oven. In order to be able to finish firing porcelain in the upper oven, which can of course also be glazed porcelain in addition to biscuit porcelain, it is necessary to design the oven as a double oven in accordance with the above privilege. For this purpose, either the upper furnace, which was previously used as a relining room, like the lower furnace, can be provided with a corresponding number of special furnaces and rough-burning devices, or the fire gas in the lower furnace can be bypassed through special channels into the upper furnace,
 EMI1.2

According to the present invention, the previous incineration room has been expanded by installing furnaces o and smoke consumption channels p to the upper furnace B corresponding to the lower furnace ff. An incineration chamber C is also placed on top of this upper furnace 1}.

Starting from the furnaces a of the lower furnace, fire channels b open into the ascending channels c provided with the smoke absorption devices, which in this way direct the fire gases from the lower furnace into the upper furnace B. The fire

In this way, the cooking temperature of the lower oven does not experience any further increase, but rather decreases while the upper oven is being fired, since the heating gases continue to withdraw through the openings q in the oven sole and the smoke flues e, as in the same way

can be closed by a slide s. The flame can thus be directed into the open air or into the incineration chamber C ′ as required by opening or closing the slide.
