Aus einem Gewebe bestehender Schirmüberzug und Gewebe zur Herstellung desselben.
Bei allen bisher bekannt gewordenen, aus einem Gewebe bestehenden Schirmüberzügen, gleichviel, ob sie aus einem Gewebestreifen zusammengenäht oder aus einem auf dem Bandstuhl gearbeiteten Schlauchgewebe bestehen, verlaufen die Kettenfäden in der Längs-und die Schussfäden in der Querrichtung. Es sind deshalb diese Schirmtiberzüge in keiner Richtung dehnbar.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun ein neuer, aus einem Gewebe bestehender Schirm- überzug, dessen Eigentümlichkeit darin besteht, dass derselbe so gearbeitet ist, dass Kette und Schuss diagonal zur Längsrichtung verlaufen. Hiedurch ist erreicht, dass der neue Schirmüberzug nicht nur in der Breitenrichtung, sondern namentlich auch in der Längsrichtung dehnbar ist und sich so den verschiedenen Schirmgrössen anpassen kann, also für die verschiedensten Schirmnummern verwendbar ist, was bei den bisherigen gewebten Überzügen nicht möglich war. Ein weiterer Vorteil des neuen Überzuges ist, dass er grössere Haltbarkeit als die bisherigen besitzt und dass besonders das Abreissen der Zwinge nicht mehr so häufig vorkommt, weil hier Kette und Schuss in der Zwinge festgeklemmt sind.
Zur Herstellung dieses neuen Schirmüberzuges dient zweckmässig ein doppelt ge- arbeitetes Gewebe, dessen beide Lagen in schräg zur Längsrichtung verlaufenden Streifen zusammengewebt sind, so dass man durch Zerschneiden dieses Gewebes in diesen Streifen Schläuche erhält, die je einen Schirmüberzug ergeben, in dem Kette und Schuss in diagonaler Richtung verlaufen. Hiedurch wird die Herstellung der neuen Schirmüberzüge in einfacbster Weise möglich.
Auf der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand veranschaulicht. Dabei zeigt Fig. 1 den Schiimüberzug selbst, während die Fig. 2 und 3 das zu seiner Herstellung dienende Gewebe in Ansicht und Querschnitt veranschaulichen.
Das zur Herstellung des neuen Seliirmilberzuges dienende Gewebe a ist als Doppel- gewebe gearbeitet, dessen beide Lagen in den Streifen b zusammengearbeitet sind. Dabei verlaufen diese Streifen b schräg zur Längsrichtung des Gewebes und konvergieren paar- weise das eine Mal nach rechts, das andere Mal nach links. Dabei ist die Breite des
Gewebes sowie der Abstand (ler Streifen b voneinander so gewählt, dass man durch Zer- schneiden des Gewebes in diesen Streifen Schläuche von solcher kegelförmigen Gestalt und solcher Grösse erhält, wie sie zur Herstellung der Schirmüberzüge nötig sind, und wobei
Kette und Schuss in diesen Schänchen in sich kreuzender Anordnung diagonal verlaufen.

The subject matter of the invention is a new umbrella cover consisting of a fabric, the peculiarity of which is that it is worked in such a way that the warp and weft run diagonally to the longitudinal direction. This means that the new umbrella cover is not only stretchable in the widthwise direction, but also in the longitudinal direction and can thus be adapted to the different umbrella sizes, i.e. it can be used for a wide variety of umbrella numbers, which was not possible with the previous woven covers. Another advantage of the new coating is that it is more durable than the previous ones and that the clamp is no longer torn off as often because the warp and weft are stuck in the clamp.
For the production of this new screen cover, a double-worked fabric is expediently used, the two layers of which are woven together in strips that run obliquely to the longitudinal direction, so that by cutting this fabric into these strips, tubes are obtained that each result in a screen cover, in the warp and weft run in a diagonal direction. This makes it possible to manufacture the new screen covers in the simplest possible way.
