<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
Fig. 1.

The invention relates to a floor-level shower base with a thin-walled cup body made of an acrylic resin optionally reinforced with a glass fiber reinforced plastic layer and with a molded on the cup body support plate made of foam, between which and an edge portion of the cup body projecting over the edge portion sealing tapes are provided.
For simple relocation of floor-level shower trays, it is known (DE 38 09 068 A 1) to prefabricate the shower tray from a foam sheet which is provided with a tile covering and has a drain, so that this prefabricated shower tray is only displaced on the raw floor of a wet room and turned on a drain pipe must be connected. Disadvantages of these prefabricated shower trays with a tile covering are, on the one hand, the comparatively complex laying of the tile covering and, on the other hand, the watertightness, which depends not only on the flawless jointing of the tile covering, but also on the transition from the shower tray to the adjoining, also tiled floor of the wet room.
To avoid these disadvantages, it has already been proposed (DE 197 23 153 A1) to prefabricate the shower base from a thin-walled cup body and a foam support plate molded onto the cup body. The thin-walled cup body made of acrylic resin, optionally with a glass fiber-reinforced plastic layer on the underside of the cup body, has peripheral sections overlapping the peripheral surface of the cup body, between which and sealing strips projecting beyond the edge sections are provided.
These sealing tapes, which are effective as sealing lips, must be used
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Moving the shower base first around the end face of the edge section against this and then bent or folded away from the edge section against the adjoining floor so that the sealing tapes bridge the connection gap between the shower base and a floor covering. In addition to the fact that this repeated bending of the sealing tapes makes the displacement work more complex, there is also the risk that the sealing tapes have the required tightness in the transition area between the cup body and the adjoining one
Can not guarantee flooring, so that these sealing tapes are also covered by a sealing film.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing a floor-level shower base of the type described at the outset with simple constructional means such that, despite simple displacement conditions, the cup body can be connected in a moisture-tight manner to the adjacent floor covering of the wet room.
The invention solves the problem in that the cup body has parallel to the surface of the support plate, flush with the front peripheral surface of the support plate edge sections, between which and the support plate, the sealing tapes protrude parallel to the plate.
As a result of these measures, the edge sections of the cup body are flush with the end circumferential surface of the support plate and do not encompass this circumferential surface of the support plate, the sealing tapes between the edge sections and the support plate can protrude parallel to the plate and be laid flat on the adjoining floor without bends or folds before the Flooring is applied. This essentially flat course of the sealing tape not only facilitates the relocation work, but also ensures a moisture-proof connection of the shower base to the adjacent floor covering.
A prerequisite for this are the edge sections of the cup body which are parallel to the surface of the support plate and which are flush with the end circumferential surface of the support plate, so that the thin-walled cup body is adequately supported by the support plate also in the edge region in order to be able to support the
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
to be able to dispense with the angled edge webs otherwise required for reasons of inherent strength.
Because of the unbent sealing strips projecting parallel to the plate and protruding between the edge sections of the cup body and the support plate, there is also a simple connection of the sealing strips in the corner areas, in particular if the sealing strips running along the edge sections of the cup body meet in the Overlap corner areas of the cup body. When moving the shower base, the sealing tapes need only be bonded to one another in the conventional manner in the overlap region and to the adjacent floor and the floor covering.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. FIG. 1 shows a shower tray according to the invention in a schematic, partially opened top view, and FIG. 2 shows this partially offset shower tray in a section along the line 11-11 of FIG
Fig. 1.
According to the exemplary embodiment shown, the shower base consists of a thin-walled cup body 1 made of acrylic resin, the edge sections 2 of which run flat without profiling. On this cup body 1, which slopes away from the edge sections 2 with a slight slope to an outlet 3, a support slat 4 made of foam is formed, the peripheral surface 5 of which is flush with the edge sections 2 of the cup body 1. According to FIG. 2, the support plate 4 receives a drain pipe 6 which is connected to the drain 3 and which is to be connected to a corresponding drain pipe when the shower base is moved. Between the edge sections 2 of the cup body 1 and the support plate 4, sealing tapes 7 are provided which protrude parallel to the plates over the edge sections 2 and run along the circumference of the cup body 1.
In the corner regions of the cup body 1, the sealing strips 7 overlap one another, as can be seen in FIG. 1.

Unfinished floor 8 are offset, the height of the support plate 4 and the thickness of the subsequent screed 9 are matched to one another, so that the over
Edge of the shower tray protruding sealing tapes 7 overlap the screed 9 and thus cover the butt joint between the support plate 4 and the screed 9 in a moisture-proof manner.
Since the dash-dotted floor covering 10, which may consist, for example, of tiles laid on the screed 9, covers the sealing tapes 7 and is bonded in a conventional manner to the sealing tapes 7 in a moisture-tight manner, there is a simple, moisture-proof connection between the cup body 1 and the adjoining floor covering 10 regardless of whether or not the joint compound introduced into the butt joint between the cup body 1 and the adjacent floor covering 10 fills the butt joint moisture-tight. Since the edge sections 2 run essentially flat, there are also no pockets which are unavoidable due to curved sealing tapes and in which leachate could collect.
