Process for the production of double windows from metal.

The invention relates to a method for producing double windows made of metal, in which the inner frame is inserted pivotably into the outer frame. The manufacture of such windows has presented considerable difficulties so far, since the cutting of the inner frame must be carried out with the greatest care in order to obtain frames that fit correctly into one another and the necessary precise workshop work increases the costs of such windows considerably.

By the method according to the invention these difficulties are eliminated and the same essentially consists in that the profiles of the outer and inner frame are first brought into immovable connection and then cut together by a single punch, the cutting of which by the distance that the inside each other have matching frame parts in the finished window, are offset from one another In this way, the side parts of the inner frame are given their required length without it being necessary to record the dimensions on the workpiece.

1 and 2 explain the new method on flat iron frames, the side parts of which are connected by butt joint.

According to the new method, the bars 6n, 7a, from which two associated side parts 6 and 7 are to be made, are first clamped together and the length to be cut off, for example only on the bar 6a, for the outer frame is marked out.

The punch 8, the two cutting edges 4 and 5 of which are offset from one another by the amount X, is now eh. The length X is equal to the distance between the ends of the bars 6 and 7 on the finished window. At the other registered mark, a punch is also brought into effect, the cutting edges of which are offset from one another by the amount X, and in this way the rod 7 is obtained exactly in its required length, without the need for the dimensions on the raw workpiece to be recorded.

An embodiment of the invention is also possible in such a way that the profiles of the outer and inner frames are rolled together from one piece, for example, which saves them from being clamped together during cutting. After cutting, the profiles are cut apart.

It is, of course, still possible to apply the novel method to the associated bars of the inner and outer frame.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Process for the production of double windows made of metal, characterized. that the profiles of the outer and inner frame are first brought into an immovable connection and then cut together by a single punch, the cutting of which is produced by the distance that the frame parts that fit into one another are produced
Have windows from each other, are offset from each other.
