Kolbenlose hydraulische Presse.

Pistonless hydraulic press.
The invention relates to a piston-free hydraulic press, in which the press plate forms the cover of a collapsible hollow cylinder, which consists of flexible material reinforced by a metal ring arranged outside at certain intervals. According to the invention, rods standing in a circle are attached to the top and bottom of the hollow cylinder, which determine the inner cross-sectional shape of the hollow cylinder, prevent the flexible material from escaping into the interior of the hollow cylinder and at the same time, because their free ends rest against the top or bottom determine the greatest shortening of the hollow cylinder.
In the drawing, such a press is shown in a longitudinal section and a horizontal section along the line x-x in FIG. The collapsible hollow cylinder is formed from the flexible material f, which is stiffened on the outside by a metal ring c, is connected at its upper end to the press plate guided along the stud bolts a by means of the lugs m and at its lower end to the base plate e. This connection is made by means of metal strips i tightened by screws j, k. On the inside, the flexible fabric is covered with metal rings.
According to the invention, rods 9 or 9 are attached to both the press plate d and the base plate e, which rest against the metal rings n and aim to maintain the inner cross-sectional shape of the hollow cylinder. These rods also prevent the flexible material f from deflecting inwards; their length is dimensioned so that they prevent the hollow cylinder from buckling completely after the pressure in the hollow cylinder has ceased, i.e. during the rest position. In the rest position, the rods gx stand on the base plate e, while the rods g support the press plate d, so that the wrinkling of the fabric f is limited.
