REIBUNGS- UND VERSCHLEIßMINDERNDE CHALKOGEN- UND SILBERHALTIGE SCHICHT SOWIE HERSTELLUNG UND VERWENDUNG EINER DERARTIGEN SCHICHTFRACTION AND WEAR-CHANGING CHALKOGEN AND SILVER-CONTAINING LAYER AND THE PREPARATION AND USE OF SUCH A LAYER
The invention relates to a melt-technically produced layer, preferably a coating layer on a substrate, which is characterized by a reduction in friction and wear, in particular by a pronounced wear resistance in the high temperature range.
[0002] In der folgenden Beschreibung der Aufgabenstellung und deren erfindungsgemäßen Lösung wird insbesondere auf die Terminologie der österreichischen Normen Bezug genommen: ÖNORM M 8120-1:1985 12 01 - „Tribologie; Tribotechnik, Tribosysteme; allgemeine Grundlagen, Begriffsbestimmungen“, ÖNORM M 8120-2:1985 11 01 - „Tribologie; Reibung; Begriffsbestimmungen und Einteilung“ sowie ÖNORM M 8120-3:1987 12 01 - „Tribologie; Verschleiß; Begriffsbestimmungen und Einteilung“.In the following description of the problem and its solution according to the invention reference is made in particular to the terminology of the Austrian standards: ÖNORM M 8120-1: 1985 12 01 - "Tribology; Tribology, tribosystems; general principles, definitions ", ÖNORM M 8120-2: 1985 11 01 -" Tribology; Friction; Definitions and classification "and ÖNORM M 8120-3: 1987 12 01 -" Tribology; Wear; Definitions and classification ".
Specifically, the present invention addresses stress collectives in which an ambient temperature during stress of -40 ° C to 1200 ° C is present, preferably above 400 ° C, and / or at least one of the interacting bodies has a temperature of -40 ° C to 1200 ° C, preferably above 400 ° C.
In order to achieve as low as possible friction and the wear attack as low as possible, especially under the conditions mentioned in the respective underlying tribosystem, are - as shown schematically in Fig. 1 - according to the prior art layers of 3 selected, usually metallic materials, as a friction-reducing or wear-protective layers, applied to the relevant (machine) parts used as the substrate 4, often by a melting or welding process, for example, by build-up welding.
As hardfacing or cladding, the method of a weld is referred to, is applied to the material as a surface protection on components. In hardfacing typically higher quality layers are applied to a less demanding and therefore less expensive substrate 4. The thickness of the layers on components is typically not less than 0.1 to about 3 mm for single-ply application.
For two-ply or multi-ply layers on components higher layer thicknesses can be achieved and these layers z. B. also be applied offset. Depending on the composition and layer structure, coatings on components not only serve as wear protection and friction minimization in sliding contacts, but also as a buffer during build-up welding of a different type of alloy and as corrosion protection.
Layers on mechanical components, in particular application layers are z. B. by arc welding processes, plasma powder surfacing and increasingly applied by laser deposition welding. Certain build-up welding processes - especially known as additive manufacturing or 3D printing - allow the application of layered multi-layer application layers, so that even complex three-dimensional geometries can be built up.
As layers on components are suitable for the preferred field of application in view of the task of the invention, in particular metals. Iron, nickel or cobalt base alloys are preferably used on account of the good wear and corrosion properties and due to corresponding high temperature stability. These base alloys can by means of intermetallic and / or ceramic hard phases / hard materials such. Borides or carbides "reinforced", d. H. be made firmer, more pressure resistant and also wear-resistant.
The sliding properties of layers on mechanical components can by Ver use of silver-containing powder fractions, for example, according to CN102277018A and CN104087789B, or solid lubricant-containing powders, for. As in CN101468394A. As schematically illustrated in FIG. 1, under these circumstances the wear reserve of such layers 3, in which advantageous sliding properties due to the presence of silver can be expected, is limited to a comparatively small thickness of a predominantly silver-containing cover layer 1, which greatly enhances the function-determined service life limited. In the above-mentioned prior art methods and known composition, the lack of miscibility of the silver in some relevant alloys of the thus applied layer 3 causes, by segregation, a floating of the silver and formation of a predominantly silver-containing covering layer 1 on the surface of the demixed zone 2 of FIG Layer 3 in the course of the melting process on the substrate 4, so that after the application process, the volume fractions of the silver are not distributed approximately homogeneously over the layer thickness in the layer 3.
[0010] Struktur bzw. Chalkogenverbindungen zur Bildung von Chalkogen enthaltenden Phasen 5, die gegebenenfalls ihrerseits wieder überwiegend Silber enthaltende Phasen 7 aufweisen können, in der Matrix 6 und zu einer mikroskopischen stochastischen Verteilung von Silber in Form von überwiegend Silber enthaltenden Phasen 7 in der Schicht 8.Structure or structure of the layers 8 according to the invention are shown schematically in Fig. 2: In the composition of the material to be applied or in the produced layer 8 lead u. a. the existing proportions of chalcogen or chalcogen compounds for the formation of chalcogen-containing phases 5, which in turn may in turn comprise predominantly silver-containing phases 7, in the matrix 6 and a microscopic stochastic distribution of silver in the form of predominantly silver-containing phases 7 in the Layer 8.
Chalcogen compounds are chemical compounds containing elements of group VI of the periodic table (currently: oxygen, sulfur, selenium, tellurium, polonium, livermorium). For example, according to the invention molybdenum disulfide and / or tungsten disulfide can be used with silver in a nickel-based alloy as the starting material. For this purpose, according to the invention, other conventional hard material particle additives, such as. As tungsten carbide, add.
In Fig. 3, a microsection of a layer 8 according to the invention is reproduced for further explanation of the layer 8 and the layer structure.
Layers 8 according to the present invention contain as essential carrier substance (matrix) 6 a metallic material, for. Example, as an alloy or melting a prealloyed metal powder containing at least one chalcogen or a chalcogen compound, wherein the proportion of chalcogen compound is 0.1 to 25 mass%, preferably 5 to 15 mass%, and further 0.1 to 25 Mass%, preferably 0.2 to 10 mass%, silver. The layer 8 according to the invention can be applied to a substrate 4 by means of a powder, wire or a comparable filler material as a starting material in accordance with known melting techniques on a substrate 4 under the action of a heat source. The resulting layer 8 according to the invention has an inhomogeneous microstructure characterized by the presence of distributed material regions with chalcogen-containing phases 5 which contain inclusions of predominantly silver-containing phases 7. These phases 7 are distributed macroscopically (FIG. 3) in the sense that they are arranged stochastically according to mutual distances and characteristic size (area volume, main dimension or the like) due to different application parameters. The composite formed in this way is therefore microscopically inhomogeneous, but appears macroscopically homogeneous (quasi-homogeneity, see H. Zeilinger, in VDI reports; 563, May 1985; 1-11; VDI Conference "Constructing with Composite and Hybrid Materials ", Fellbach, 07, - 08.05.1985). Inclusions of predominantly silver-containing phases 7 have a preferred size of 0.5 to 1000 microns, with individual small and / or larger inclusions of silver for material or process engineering reasons are possible.
Inventive layers 8 differ from conventional layers 3 by targeted use of at least one chalcogen or a chalcogen compound in the composition of the starting material to predominantly silver-containing phases 7 in the manner described in the matrix 6 to achieve stochastically distributed.
