The invention relates to a machine for the production of plate-like elements made of composite material, with a heating plate, conveying means for transporting the elements along a leading through the heating plate conveying path, a vertically movable to the heating top and a membrane arranged on the upper part.
In the production of composite plate-like elements, such as photovoltaic elements, multiple layers, including glass, are joined under pressure and heat. The machines used for this process generally have a heatable laminating station, a cooling station and transport means for intermittently conveying the elements. The laminating station in this case has a heating plate and on a lowerable on the heating plate upper part is a membrane that forms a closed chamber with the heating plate in the lowered state. By evacuating this chamber, the elements are degassed, the membrane is pressed by the acting on the side facing away from the chamber side of the membrane pressure to the heating plate and the elements and presses the elements together.
Such a machine is described for example in the patent application WO2006 / 128699 A2.
Known machines have as conveying means for the elements on a conveyor belt, which consists for example of a heat-resistant film and is performed in circulation on the hot plate and an optionally present adjacent cooling plate. During the lamination process, adhesive present between the layers is plasticized or liquefied and may occasionally undesirably leak out, thereby polluting the conveyor belt. Therefore, the conveyor must be occasionally cleaned or replaced, which is associated with additional time and material expense and production losses.
N2007 / 22600
Based on this prior art, the invention is based on the object to propose a machine of the type mentioned, which does not have the mentioned disadvantages and in particular a operation without interruption for cleaning or replacement of a conveyor belt.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the conveying means comprise a belt, first storage means for the delivery of the belt and second storage means for receiving the belt after passing through the conveying path.
The advantages of this solution are, in particular, that it offers the possibility to use the tape only once, and thus eliminates the cost of cleaning the tape. Furthermore, during operation of the machine, the end of the belt can be connected to the beginning of another belt, thus eliminating the need for a service interruption to change the belt.
According to particular embodiments, the band may consist of paper, non-woven, textile material or film. Such materials are suitable for single use. Preferably, the tape has a heat-resistant impregnation or coating to allow the tape to withstand the temperatures prevailing in laminating. The impregnation or coating preferably contains silicone or polytetrafluoroethylene.
According to a further embodiment, the first and / or second storage means are rollers. The delivery of the tape, its transport through the machine as well as the collection and removal of the used tape make this particularly easy.
Another embodiment provides that the first and / or second storage means are containers. This embodiment is particularly simple and inexpensive to manufacture.
According to a further embodiment, it is provided that the conveying means comprise a circulating conveyor belt and the belt runs between the conveyor belt and the elements to be laminated. Because in this embodiment, the tape has virtually no tensile forces, it can be made of a thin and inexpensive material
N2007 22600
23/01 2008 MI 13:52 [SE / EM NR 8681] El005. In addition, in such a material, the costs for transport, storage and possibly disposal are correspondingly lower.
Finally, according to another embodiment, in order to protect the membrane and to protect it from escaping adhesive and other contaminants, it may be provided that a shroud guided between the membrane and the elements to be laminated is present.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiments illustrated in the drawings.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic longitudinal section through an embodiment of the inventive machine.
By way of introduction, it should be noted that in the differently described embodiments, the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals or the same component names, wherein the disclosures contained in the entire description can be analogously applied to the same parts with the same reference numerals or component names. Also, the location information chosen in the description, such as top, bottom, side, etc. related to the immediately described and illustrated figure and are to be transferred to a new position analogously to the new situation.

N2007 22600
23/01 2008 MI 13:52 [SE / EM NR 8681] (c) 006. In the machine plate-shaped elements 4, such as photovoltaic elements are transported by a conveyor 6 from an inlet side 10 in a laminating station 2, where the elements 4 are laminated under pressure and heat. Subsequently, the elements 4 are transported by the conveying means 6 in the direction of the arrow 7 in a cooling station 3, where they stay for a certain time under pressure and are cooled. The laminating station 2 consists essentially of a heating plate 5 and a perpendicular to this movable upper part 8. The reference numeral 12 lifting drives are referred to, with which the upper part 8 is lowered and raised relative to the heating plate 5. Of course, in a kinematic reversal, the heating plate 5 could be moved against the upper part 8.
The upper part 8 carries on its underside a membrane 9, which forms a closed chamber in the lowered state of the upper part 8 with the heating plate S, which can be evacuated. With the chamber evacuated, the elements 4 to be laminated are pressed by the membrane 9 against the heating plate 5, air pockets, which may still be present between the layers of the elements 4, are removed and existing between the layers of the elements 4 adhesive is by the pressure and / or the heat is activated. Between the diaphragm 9 and an intermediate wall 14, a chamber 16 is formed in the upper part 8, which can be acted upon by vacuum or overpressure, if necessary, in order either to raise the diaphragm 9 or to press it downwards. A cavity 13 present in the upper part communicates with the chamber 16 via openings 15 arranged in the intermediate wall 14.
The cooling station 3 consists essentially of a cooling plate 21 and an upper part 28 which can be moved against it by means of lifting drives 22 and which, like the upper part 8 of the laminating station 2, also carries a membrane 29. Again, the cooling plate 21 could be moved to ropes of the upper part 29 in kinematic reversal.
As conveying means 6 is provided in this example a single-use intended band of a low-cost material that is resistant to the temperatures occurring during lamination. For example, a silicone-coated paper, which is also known under the name baking paper or baking release paper is suitable. Other materials are also conceivable for a single use, for example fleece, textiles or films, which may optionally be impregnated or coated to increase the heat resistance, for example with silicone
N2007 22600
23/01 2008 MI 13:52 [SE / EM No. 8681] Ig] 007 or polytetrafluoroethylene. The latter is known, for example, under the trade name Teflon. The machine is assigned as a storage means for an unused belt 6 a supply roll 11, from which the belt 6 unwound in the direction of the arrow 17 and successively passed through the laminating station 2 and the cooling station 3. After passing through the machine 1, in the figure on the right, the tape 6 is wound in the direction of arrow 20 on a take-up reel 24. To guide the belt deflecting roller 18 and 19 may be provided. In the area between the laminating station 2 and the cooling station 3, a support device, not shown, may be provided for the belt 6, for example in the form of a table or support rollers.
To drive the belt 6 for the purpose of transporting the elements 4 lying thereon through the machine 1, the take-up reel 24 can be provided with a drive or the belt 6 can be clamped between a pair of drive rollers, not shown, arranged in the region of the guide roller 19.
To replace an empty or nearly empty supply roll 11 by a full supply roll, a changing device may be provided, as used for example in rotary printing presses for providing new printing paper. In this case, if necessary, the old band is severed and its end connected to the beginning of the new band, preferably by gluing. Similarly, changing a full take-up roll 24 may be accomplished by severing the ribbon and securing the beginning of the remaining ribbon in the machine to an empty take-up roll. In this way, an interruption-free operation of the laminating machine is possible.
In another embodiment, not illustrated, instead of the supply roll 11 and take-up roll 24 may be provided as a storage means container in which the band is meandering or stored in a zigzag fold, as known from so-called continuous paper, which in printers , especially dot matrix printers use. The tape replenishment can take place, for example, by a pair of rollers clamping the tape,
So that the band 6 is not exposed to excessive tensile stress during operation, the conveying means may additionally comprise an endlessly circulating conveyor belt on which the band intended for single use rests.
N200722600
23/01 2008 MI 13:52 [SE / EM NR 8681] (c) 008 In order to protect also the vacuum membranes 9 and 29 from escaping adhesive and other contaminants, one can run above the belt 6 and parallel to it through the machine 1 Shroud 23 may be provided such that the elements 4 to be laminated are received in the machine 1 between the belt 6 and the shroud 23. The shroud 23 may be made of the same material as the belt 6. Since a lower tensile force is exerted on the shroud 23 during transport of the elements 4 than on the belt 6 on which the elements 4 lie, may be a less for the shroud 23 tensile and / or thinner material can be used. For the drive of the shroud 23 to its promotion by the machine 1 may be provided the same means as described above for the belt 6.
As storage means for an unused shroud 23, a supply roll 25 is provided in the example shown, from which the shroud 23 is unwound in the direction of the arrow 26 and guided in succession through the laminating station 2 and the cooling station 3. After passing through the machine 1, in the figure on the right, the shroud 23 is wound in the direction of the arrow 32 onto a take-up roll 30. To guide the shroud 23 deflection roller 27 and 31 may be provided.
For the sake of order, it should finally be pointed out that for a better understanding of the construction of the machine, these or their components have been shown partly unassembled and / or enlarged and / or reduced in size.
