Description
AT 401 292 BAT 401 292 B
The invention relates to a wall heater in which the heat used to heat the heating surface is supplied with a hot water circulation system, heating water pipes being guided in stones having channels which are arranged on the front of a wall.
There are wall heaters in various designs known, and wall heaters have the advantage that the mild radiant heat emanating from large heating surfaces with a relatively low temperature is perceived as pleasant, the air temperature in rooms heated in this way being kept relatively low, so that with a correspondingly Low energy consumption for heating such rooms can be found.
Various embodiments of wall heaters are known. In the present case, wall heating systems are used, in which the heat used to heat the heating surface is supplied by means of a hot water circulation system. An embodiment of such a wall heating is known in which pipes through which hot water flows are embedded side by side in a concrete layer or mortar layer. Such a structure requires a relatively large amount of effort in terms of production, both with regard to the laying of the pipes carrying the heating water and with regard to embedding or plastering the pipe arrangement and, particularly when embedding in mortar layers, often leads to the formation after a relatively short operating time many cracks, which appear optically unfavorable and also impair the durability. Such cracks and the thermal load also severely impair the durability of surface design measures which are carried out on wall surfaces provided with such wall heaters, such as e.g. the lifespan and appearance of wallpaper and wall paintings. Similar conditions also exist for a wall heater described in AT-185 961 B. In this known wall heater, clay plates are arranged on the side of the wall in question which forms the heating surface and have open channels on their side facing the space to be heated, and pipes through which hot water flows are inserted into these channels. This structure is covered on the side of the room to be heated with a layer of plaster or mortar, which forms the heating surface. In addition to the above-mentioned disadvantages, there is also the need for the hot water pipes and their feed lines to be guided according to the position of the parallel channels present in the clay plates, so that spatial or thermal requirements can often only be met unsatisfactorily or not at all.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a wall heater of the type mentioned at the outset, in which problems and disadvantages of the aforementioned type are largely eliminated, which has a simple or easy to manufacture structure and which enables a surface formation or design with respect to the visible side of the heating surface, which has an attractive appearance and is not affected by the operation of the heater even for long periods.
Es wirkt sich dabei das Merkmal, daß die Nuten quer zu den kanalförmigen Hohlräumen in den Tonhohlplatten verlaufen, sowohl hinsichtlich der Wärmeübertragung von den Rohren auf die Tonplatten als auch hinsichtlich des 2The inventive wall heater of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in that the heating surface is formed by known hollow clay plates, in which a set of parallel channel-shaped cavities is provided behind a room-side wall, which are separated from one another by webs extending from the room-side wall, and that in the clay hollow plates from the opposite side of the same, extending into the cavities grooves are provided, which extend transversely to the channel-shaped cavities in the clay hollow plates, the pipes in which the heating water serving as heat transfer medium are guided in these grooves. With this training, the above-mentioned objective can be met well. The formation of the heating surface by hollow clay plates creates a surface which does not change over long periods of time even under the influence of the heating heat, and which has an appearance that is appealing in many natural conditions as well as a wide variety of options due to the possibility of coating and glazing It is possible to produce decorations, which are also long-lasting and easy to clean and maintain. It is a further significant advantage that hollow clay plates can be easily processed, so that there is the possibility of the grooves, which are used to guide the heating water pipes, in the clay hollow plates when laying them on a wall on which the heating water pipes have previously been mounted , to manufacture or to repair prefabricated grooves, so that an adaptation of the hollow clay plates to an existing positioning of the heating water pipes can be carried out in a simple manner and accordingly also local conditions can be easily met when laying the heating water pipes and no tight dimensional tolerances have to be observed, which is the laying work very simplified. One can form predetermined breaking points through narrow slits, which lead from the back of the hollow clay plates into the webs, which enable the grooves to be easily broken out. The effect is that the grooves run transversely to the channel-shaped cavities in the hollow clay plates, both with regard to the heat transfer from the pipes to the clay plates and with regard to the second

Achieving a uniform heat distribution over the heating surface formed by the front of the hollow clay plates and, moreover, also for the possibility of machining the grooves of the hollow clay plates receiving the heating water pipes. For the heat transfer from the heating water pipes to the heat-emitting front side of the hollow clay plates, which heat transfer takes place on the one hand directly from the heating water pipes to the front wall of the hollow clay plates, and on the other hand takes place via the webs of the hollow clay plates and via the air located in the cavities of the hollow clay plates, it is also advantageous if you provide that the grooves extend to the wall on the room side. It is also advantageous for a favorable heat distribution on the heating surface if the channels in the hollow clay plates run approximately horizontally.
However, other arrangements are also possible. You can e.g. allow the channels in the laid clay hollow plates to run approximately vertically and guide the heating water pipes in grooves that run approximately horizontally transversely thereto and, by corresponding connections of the cavities in the individual clay hollow plates with one another, create an air circulation in these channels, which emits the heat from the heating water pipes and also the heat transfer the hollow clay plates intensified or, if desired, also forms an air flow emerging into the room. For a steady resting heat transfer, it is favorable to transfer the heat given off in the area of a hollow clay plate from the sections of the heating water pipes located there only to the relevant hollow clay plate itself, and it is favorable for this if one provides that at least a part of the channel-shaped cavities the edges of the individual hollow clay plates is closed.
The fastening of the hollow clay plates to the wall carrying the wall heating in question can be carried out in various ways, e.g. with a layer of mortar or adhesive, which is provided between the wall supporting the wall heating and the back of the hollow clay plates. Another advantageous embodiment is characterized in that the hollow clay plates are fixed to the wall on which the wall heating is arranged by clips or tabs engaging in the channel-shaped cavities. Such clamps, since they engage in the channels of the hollow clay plates, can be attached invisibly from the outside.
The invention will now be further explained with reference to examples, which are shown schematically in the drawing. 1 shows part of a first embodiment of a wall heater according to the invention in a view, FIG. 2 shows this embodiment in a section taken along the line II-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a variant of that in FIG. 1 1, FIG. 4 shows another embodiment of a wall heater according to the invention in a view with the wall on the room side removed, and FIG. 5 shows an embodiment of a fastening of the clay hollow plates provided in a wall heater according to the invention by means of clips or tabs.
In the embodiment of a wall heater 1 shown in FIG. 1, the heating surface is formed by hollow clay plates 2, in which a set of channel-shaped cavities 4 running parallel to one another is provided behind a wall 3 on the room side. These cavities 4 are separated from one another by webs 5 which extend from the front side wall 3. In the hollow clay plates, as can be seen particularly well from FIG. 2, grooves 6 are provided, which extend from the side 7 of the hollow clay plates 2 and extend into the cavities 4. In these grooves 6 tubes 8 are guided, in which the heating water serving as heat transfer medium circulates. In this case, the hollow clay plates 2 are attached to the wall 10 using a heat-resistant adhesive mortar which forms a layer 9 between the wall 10 supporting the wall heating and the hollow clay plates 2. If desired, a mortar that has a particularly low thermal conductivity can be used. Instead of such a mortar attachment or in addition to such, the hollow clay plates can also be fixed mechanically with brackets or the like on the wall supporting the wall heating or on mounting rails or similar supports.
In the case shown, the grooves 6 extend to the room-side wall 3 of the hollow clay plates. In this way, the pipes 8 carrying the heating water can, if desired, be arranged at a distance from the wall 10 and thus on the one hand keep the heat transfer from these pipes to the wall 10 low and on the other hand intensify the heat transfer from the pipes 8 to the front wall 3 of the hollow clay plates 2. However, as is indicated in FIG. 2 by the dashed line 11, the grooves can end at a certain distance behind the wall 3 of the hollow clay plates 2 on the room side and thus ensure that part of the webs 5 runs continuously over the grooves 6 is retained, whereby the strength of the hollow clay plates in the region of the grooves 6 is increased.
These canal-shaped cavities 4 are also, as can be seen from FIG. 2, at least on one edge side 12 of FIG. 3
